  1. This show gets better each year. Attended on the Sunday. Had a catch up with Dave Jones. Excellent layouts and trade. See you 2019!
  2. Are we expecting new announcements from our manufacturing friends at this year's show. Trying to decide whether to attend.
  3. Looking forward to this year’s show. Always a great event. Hopefully some updates from DJ Models. Apparently Tigertaz has a large haul for the N gauge fans on Sunday as well according to Facebook
  4. I made no rush to see the announcements today. That was a pointless 5 minutes of my life I will not get back. 29 surprises. Only surprise is that Hornby have not seen thier 70 and 80s stuff in vast quantities on Ebay at a fraction of the price. A number of items that will not appeal to railway modellers or the younger generation priced out of the hobby already.
  5. 1 surprise lambton No 29 tank
  6. Great show. Perth Green next weekend
  7. Fantastic news I will be ordering the late crest version. I’m sure they will be very popular and were quite well spread geographically, further than I thought. Should appeal to a lot of folk
  8. I did see a Hattons Andrew Barclay in the flesh behind one of the layouts. Would have loved to have taken one of those home today
  9. Some great layouts and an enjoyable day out. Only thing for me was the lack of new products available to buy no fault of traders or exhibitors.
  10. Off to South Shields, Doncaster tomorrow
  11. Hi all. Not seen anything on here though it is the annual show at South Shields this Friday/ Saturday. Woan Street, South Shields. Not the organiser, just an annual visitor so don’t have any details. Regards John
  12. Thanks, I was not trying to have a go as suggested!! Will there be the trade support that normally goes with the events and actually makes attendance appealing to a lot of folk whom attend? The previous traders are stating they are not getting an invite to anything this year. I had seen the list of events issued to the volunteers and it was very light compared to previous. I will keep an eye on the website. Regards John
  13. I’m a long time supporter of Locomotion and simply asked what an earth is going on! There has always been a great number of planned, good events, very well attended and the plug has been pulled on the lot of them, binned the organisers whom know who’s who and who to invite. Then suddenly there is requests for layouts!! There is nothing clever about such a question!
  14. So what’s the exhibition plan for 2018 then? You deleted my last post. Apart from the Shildon shows they have all been cancelled.
  15. Dave, is the project still going ahead? Will still order if there are different numbers. Thanks John
  16. I think they look great but will not be replacing the 24 I currently have. Might start a new rake only if there are some good discounts available
  17. The Dean Goods moaners should get their cv’s in
  18. It’s hardly scaremongering Roy. It’s a bit obvious! How many profit warnings do they need to issue? Carillon were thought too big to fold. At the end of the day if you struggle to get your product to the market you rely on the banks. You can only do that for so long. They will struggle to shift £180 black five and 4MT’s as the second hand market is awash with them. They in a sticky position at the moment. I really hope I’m wrong but I have have seen stronger businesses than Hornby fail.
  19. It’s great to see the new manufacturers come to the scene. I don’t think Hornby will be around much longer to be honest. It’s also good to hear the annual wish list will be considered so there is hope for us NE modellers yet. Good to see from the thread visits to Tanfield and NRM Shildon. Wonder if that was a hint.
