  1. Brilliant news. Only wish the Bowes Locomotives were not one of the announced but will be ordering one shortly. Great to see all the industrial Locomotives being modelled now. Excellent news
  2. Great event Shildon NRM. York should take note! Great to see local Preservation groups, societies, railway groups present and been supported. Only a shame they always have that miserable man from Howarth and rip off Triangman lowering the tone. No idea why the standard 2 never run considering the first time back in the North East in operational condition since BR days. That was a shame also. It was really busy and brilliant to see. Hope the Scotsman is back next September!
  3. Thanks for all the advice gents. I stripped the chassis from the body so that is safe and using very cautiously. First placing the wd40 in a tub and a syringe to locate on the axles after removing the base plate. 2 out 4 axles are now free.
  4. Is there a delivery date for the latest Peckett?
  5. By a way of update. Tested WD40 on one axle set and we have movement
  6. Can you do the Q7 next NRM model please!!
  7. I also hope it is restored to full working order to shut some of the moaners up
  8. There is nothing on the mainline movements page going to Grosmont today. Seen the Deltic. Watched it loads last year. Now with sound, brilliant. Can we have one in the workshop NYMR? Would be great to watch restoration progress
  9. Daft as it sounds I have never tested it from new so it may never have run but I assume storing in a poorly insulated loft room at my old house would not have helped. Got quite hot. Do you think WD40 would free the axles. Currently solid
  10. Hi, I have an 8F bought about 6 years back. Loco drive. First time on the layout Saturday due to not having a layout to run on until now. Has anyone had an issue with all the wheels locking up solid. No side play or anything. The grease seems to have dried solid. Help/ advice appreciated. Thanks in advance
  11. Look excellent, well done to all concerned. There is one looking really rough at York. I'm sure with them being in the mood for handing over items the NNR could get another one for the rake
  12. I would personally like to see more out on loan and in use but only in a sensible well managed manner. Completely disagree with them being handed over.
  13. Bachmann are looking after you guys!
  14. It is a shame the NYMR don't put a proposal together to fund a ten year ticket. Ideal for the line and has been an excellent addition to the fleet recently. They are currently having a good record of turning around overhauls so I'm sure they could crack on with it soon
  15. I will pop down tomorrow to say hello. I hear the chassis is now undercover. A great environment for your restoration activities.
  16. I would prefer an A8 from a NER region tank loco. Much prefer a J21 or J27
  17. As a north east modeller, I'm not the first to say nothing for me yet again. Some good stuff for other regions though. Will just have to increase my fleet of Q6's
  18. Give them another 6 months and they might get round to it!! Then it might be in the shops for Christmas 2018
  19. Me too Philip! I took my club card with me living on hope of something steam related. Considering the last two diesels have struggled to sell we might have got something different this time. From my point of view there has been nothing decent out of the collectors club for years. Membership is definatly not getting reviewed next year
  20. N Gauge taster for this weekends show. New to the circuit. Cleveland clubs large model of Northallerton. Excellent layout. First trip out!
  21. East Dock - O gauge New layout to the exhibition circuit
  22. Looking forward to it next weekend. Some fantastic layouts lined up and a much bigger show than previously!
  23. Great exhibition. Really good layouts and trade, grabbing some bargains. Looking forward to Spennymoors new bigger show next weekend. I know they have some excellent layouts lined up. If you have not been to Hartlepool. Get yourself along! It's all for charity
