Dave, There is a lot of demand for North East Locomotives would you consider crowdfunding a J27? The A5 tank might be a good shout also considering how wide spread they were found. Cheers John

Not sure if you guys are NE region but it’s much like most years for us. The revised J72 has some appeal in replacing older models but still disappointed.

I'm sure the LMS contingent will be happy again this year. Always seems to be LMS region from Bachmann at the moment

The drawbar is appalling. Difficult to fit and my first attempt resulted in a damaged bar. It could be that. I hope you can get spares?

Well I have just had a rake through the Hornby website and made a decision that I will not be buying a new Hornby Model again. I’m very fortunate that I have amassed a really large collection over the last 10 years or so. I tend to impulse buy for buying sake sometimes, but that is it for me. Standard Class 4 for £179.99. No thanks

I know the Weardale Railway were bidding for one. Don’t know why they would want a second one. Variety is important at heritage railways if you class them as a heritage railway.

Absolutely brilliant show. The layouts are all quality. Parted with a lot of cash, some great trade support. Really good variety. Really pleased with the DJ Models announcement. Look forward to next year, the show just gets better each year. I have my raffle tickets, hope I get a phone call.

I personally think Hornby are about knackered. There are not going to be many takers for £170 standard 4's. I was speaking with friends at a recent show. O gauge is the new area for RTR modellers £190 for an O gauge Jinty. I spoke to a few people who were selling up thier OO to fund O. I appreciate prices are rising but its now gettting out of the reach of the average modeller and earner. I heard that from many folk baulking over the prices at NRM Shildon. The only saving grace is that Oxford are managing to keep costs down.

Looking forward to this years show. It was a great move changing the venue. Much bigger show than the previous townhall. Great venue and a top quality show. Some superstar layouts booked for this year and looking forward to meeting Dave Jones. I will be along on the Saturday, see you all then.

I don't know the well served GWR lot twist on about a few rivets yet us North Eastern modellers just have the constant disappointment of getting no new models. Manufacturers take note! Stuff the GWR lot us North eastern modellers would be far more grateful. I include my Scottish friends in that statement they get overlooked as well
