Will be interested to see what you come up with Mick (though I guess resolving the grey gap between the top of the window frame and the top of the recessed section that isn’t  there on the prototype will be more difficult. Is the frame too small, the window or is the recessed panel too tall…..

Hard to tell without looking straight on to it, but I'd say that the window frames look too small in general. On the original they extend down to the orange stripe and there is also very little gap between the frames.

Has anyone actually got their ROG 37? I’d have thought they’d be more pictures online of them considering they were being dispatched this week?

Or 609. Haven't seen any of that either.

Just out of curiosity, has anyone got a 37/6 from a model shop yet or have they all been direct sales?

I very nearly bought a second 37409 last night, thinking it was 37419, and it got me thinking, had I gone ahead with the purchase, could it have been renumbered to another of DRS’s 37/4’s?  Such as 37401 or 37424/XH558?

If nothing else then I'm pretty sure that 402 and 409 have one of their side windows plated over compared to 401 and 424.

Loch Lomond looks so tempting in the large logo livery but knowing next to nothing about the Scottish scene is suitable rolling stock available to go behind it? Rob

Passenger wise, blue and grey Mk2a TSOs with the occasional MK1 thrown in and a MK1 brake of some kind (BG or BSK) on the back.

  5. Mine arrived this morning. Another highly detailed wagon bursting with separately applied fine detail, especially the underframe. Definitely different in many aspects than the competition but will easily fit in with each other.

Happily waiting for the re-run of the JNA's now to finish that rake off.

  6. I've ordered two of these. They look great.

I've also got a pack of the accurascale version, and as good as they are in detail, they are overly heavy, not very free rolling and the tail lamp is slightly annoying as it wouldn't even be present on many moves.

  7. Holly moly the 37402s they just released on the website sold fast!!! Was 8 mins late reading the email as was busy weathering 409. Dashed for my card (as much as you can in a leg brace!) And there were 6 left, by the time I'd entered the details and paid they were sold out again 🫣

I saw on Facebook that the lighting is incorrect. Previous releases had the market/main headlight diagonal whereas the new one lights bottom lights at both sides or something?

Yeh the lights aren't right. Shame as waited ages for this re-release. The lenses are there for the markers, so guess it's a re-solder job.

    Not to scare anyone but….

Rails seem to have sold out of sound fitted Colas class 70’s already.

Not surprised at all. I'd imagine they'll all sell out. The second hand market is silly and makes yesterdays prices seem cheap. Even yesterday afternoon one went for £285 🫣

I quite like it but don't model " contemporary ". One of the main reasons is , what the fudge can you pull behind this esp on a small plank ? Scrap stock transfer ? wagon going for maintenance ?

However I have faith that the boys will get to required liveries from the older days soon , there's decades worth to go out .

This legacy will be passed on to accura babies to continue pumping them out well into the 2030s, 40s, 50s i'd imagine

None of these photos are mine and I suppose might not be suitable for an end to end, but here's the tango 405 with...

    Autoballasters

    Preston Tractor Tango 1

    RHTT

    37405 passing Hereford Signal Box

    With NR 97 and logs

    97303 & 37405 6C55, Shrewsbury

Surely won't be long before it appears on a Colas operated test train aswell. They all seem to after a while!
