  1. Train strikes can stop a good marauding very quickly. I’ve got a picture in my mind of them charging into the station and then staring at the various screens trying to make sense of what to do next before deciding to just leave it this time…
  2. I was thinking it was a Kings Bollege Bambridge situation.
  3. This is a really interesting concept. Did you get to make a start on it?
  4. Most unfortunately our fluffy grey cat Tammy Wynette ended up locked in the garden shed over Christmas (don’t worry she’s fine). We were staying nearby and taking turns to pop in and feed the various pets, but she must have followed me out to the shed when I was loading the van up to go and found a corner to sleep in!
  5. Small half ginger cat. Medium (0 gauge?) gingerbread house…
  6. Just listened to that and I wouldn’t have known about it if you hadn’t mentioned it so thanks for that. We’d not long moved to Devon from Cornwall when this happened and although I was only about eight years old for some reason I’ve never forgotten it and if I’m ever in the area I always stop by and sit in the memorial garden for a few minutes (August this year was the most recent time). Deeply moving.
  7. The van belongs to a friend of mine…
  8. I remember going to the pumping house at Starcross with my parents when I was quite young and there being a little museum in there with a miniature demonstration railway operated with vacuum cleaners at both ends so that you could enjoy a bit of Hoover thrash… (Or were they Electrolux?)
  9. Conjugate the verb “To Go”… I’m actually really amazed at what you’ve been making and sharing on here. It’s got so much character.
  10. He’s a man that loves the snow Rich. We’ll all be out in the garage wearing coats and shivering and he’s wearing shorts and a T-shirt! It’s booked in to the Exeter show next year so hopefully we’ll get to meet and you can see it in the flesh…
  11. Seasons Greetings! I trust that you’re all well out there? Just checking in to say that my best friend Paul’s layout made the front cover of Railway Modeller this month with his snowy railway scene. I did a few bits and bobs on it myself (although I’m absolutely not taking any of the glory from what he’s achieved with it) and they’ve done a fantastic job of capturing the atmosphere. I mean it almost makes me feel ready for Christmas just looking at it… (St) Nick.
  12. It’s a bit soon for me as I had a bit of a ladder incident yesterday, but…
  13. Absolutely outrageous behaviour.
  14. Perhaps two S’s might have worked better?
  15. It’s an expensive game buying a whole set of spanners…
  16. Yes I hadn’t thought of that but I suppose it does a little bit. That would make an interesting little model actually if you just did the section between the bridges with the old graffitied signal box…
  17. Not done any of these for a while so here’s a couple of moody shots…
  18. I mean you just can’t argue with that really…
