  1. This was down to printing limitations at the time. there were minimum numbers for each print run. some of the variations would not (in my opinion) sell in sufficient quantities to justify its own print run, so we compromised and asked for build variations from each print run. it gives variety to the customer (if not in running number)

  17. (Sorry, I've just lifted this from our website/facebook) Following tonights Prime Ministerial address, we are having to close our doors to visiting customers. Please do not travel unnecessarily. We will not be able to serve you. We are still maintaining a mail-order capability and will do so for as long as possible. In order to keep any risk to our employees to a minimum, ALL orders will be shipped via our contracted courier service (DPD). This means that all orders will be subject to a £4.95 postage fee and we are applying a minimum £10 order value. Please note that any orders to Highlands, Islands or non-UK addresses will not be posted until the lockdown is over, unless the appropriate courier charges are paid in full. (edit: We will try our best to keep any additional postage charges as low as possible, but courier charges to non lowland addresses can be very high. Currently, posting via royal mail requires a visit to the post office. We will not have capacity to do this until the lockdown rules are relaxed.) Our phone line will be open Tuesday - Friday 9:30-17:00 (01733) 895989 The line will be closed Saturday, Sunday and Monday, though our website will be available 24/7. We will aim to process your order as quickly as possible Plans are in place to provide a virtual showroom, with regularly updated images of our stocks to help with any mail order requests. Thank you for your support and understanding, and we look forward to welcoming you back soon.

  19. The Police, generally, have been pretty good and we've had a couple of people arrested and convicted of shoplifting. One chap is paying off a Hornby HST at about £3 every six months... Cambridgeshire constabulary have said to encourage any other victims to contact them directly with their crime numbers and any details. Our crime reference can be used as a link: CR-35/16600/20
  20. They are also believed to have use of a black people carrier.
  21. Thanks for this, We were hit on Wednesday afternoon. We are aware of four high value items going missing. The police are involved and we have video footage of them actually taking items which is very helpful. We are also reviewing additional resources and I am hoping it will be sufficient to trace them.
  22. An interesting postscript to this. Reported in the local paper. https://www.spaldingtoday.co.uk/news/pair-to-face-trial-over-allegations-of-fraud-9100952/
  23. The TPE 68s are happening. The order confirmations were agreed earlier this week. (At least ours were)
