Many thanks. My new toy arrived this morning with one of these chips in it. The seemed to be no way to download the instructions and even the supplier couldn't do it. I just hope i can get the latest one to match the speed/acceleration/deceleration of the one i already have.

  4. Drawing circuit diagrams. 9 pages required for tomorrow's job.

I'm making key token machines out of a pile of bits. All made by Tyer and Co London, not London and Carlisle so should be about the same age..

  13. Fried chips and not the sort you can eat. The only Zen stay alive i've had to hard wire in went pop and it was nothing to do with my wiring. Ho Hum.

Super stuff. There is so much more space outside. Here's mine. Built to entertain my little people but it does have a use now and then.. It can be set up as a continuous run and used to transfer key tokens on my full size signalling simulator <G>

  17. Gutted the motor out of a Hornby 110. It can spend it's days tied to a Heljan 128. Not that i needed to take the motor bogie out the 128 will drag it about and more wheels going round or not.

The Heljan would have towed the Hornby 110 if the 110s wheels were going in the opposite direction!

      Market65

The Heljan 128’s are so strong that they can pull a house brick with ease. A Hornby 110 is no problem. ;)

  19. Has just acquired the last mechanical searchlight used by BR. It came out of used in the mid 80's. I certainly have a grin now.

I need to find a wooden post though. Do i make a respectable one or get a lump of wood and make it look like i hacked the top off?

  20. Hey! No flies on me. I'm doing the same thing at home as i am doing at work. The shunty layout is gaining it's point rodding as is a groundframe for network Rail. Only taken two days to think of that.

I've heard of taking your work home with you, but thats a little extreme....

  21. Holy smoley. My stopcock failed to turn the water off completely. Amazing how wet one can get changing a tap.

I know where the street main stop cock is so I can turn my property stop cock off as well. It is in the nature strip and it is about 10minutes of digging to get to it but you do need a spanner to turn it off!

Track circuit bond wires make super divining rods.
