  1. View from the other side, I always put a dab of white paint on the ETH plug.
  2. Heres my 86 002, Receptacle from 3d print and a Hornby class 50 mu cable.
  3. I would recommend the the west hill wagon works couplings, a 2 minute replacement that saves trying to use the supplied couplers. As an aside keep an eye on the window wipers had one fall off and it was my son who spotted on the layout, I would never have found it! The light bar in the driving car is the same as the ones in the extra coaches but the capacitor is hidden behind the cab, I've taken mine out so there are spares available!
  4. Had mine running today, must be lucky as there are no issues to report. Have a 5 car set, two coaches and second NDM. Ran in the 2 NDMs and fitted chips, they are perfectly matched and followed each other a few inches apart at various speeds. Have trialled fitting of gangway bellows but need to get in to the driving cars to fit driving crews. Will probably replace panto' in due course. But I am impressed overall.
  5. Hi folks, don't know much about about model steamers but my son likes the look of the prairie, simple question, is it worth buying as a general layout loco?
  6. Nice work, I've used Hornby class 31/50 buffers on mine.
  7. With a little more underframe weathering and steel paint on footsteps 141 sits with a Scottish cousin.
  8. I've just taken delivery of a powered one that I was going to remove motor, if anyone wants a powered one I'll take up your offer.
  9. Hi Mark, Just had a rummage around and have found enough cables from my Heljan 47s to fit on 2 locos. If you would like them PM me and I will send them to you. Regards Paul.
  10. I've never had much of an issue with the windows but always use Hornby class 50/31 buffers. This is a TMC renumbered and dirtied slightly. Keep up the excellent work, living near the Crewe - Shrewsbury line in the 70s and 80s you make everything look just right.
  11. Here's my attempt at 40 073
  12. New class 50, class 40 in the weathering stages at the moment, pictures to follow. And one pic parked on the wip layout
  13. Class 50 Bradford and Barton style at rest on new build layout based in 1976.
  14. First wagon kits I've built for 45 years! There's two more waiting for transfers to be fitted.
