  1. Hello all, As has been said, we are unlikely to be offering tailored solutions here - certainly in N gauge just reaching minimum numbers required for a single paint scheme is proving a challenge (hence the more limited offer in 00) though experience suggests order levels will climb significantly once we have displayed working and decorated samples, and set a date to close the order book. cheers Ben A.
  2. Hi Paul, There is an exploded diagram of the model on the reverse of the instruction sheet. The weight is part 11, and it is shaped to sit in the lower part of the tank barrel. The barrel is a one-part moulding and the only way to access the interior would be to pop off one of the end caps. You can probably do this without dismantling the rest of the model. I am sorry your weight moulding is loose, but it is shaped so that it cannot roll around and as you said it isn't causing running problems I would be tempted to leave it as is. cheers Ben A.
  3. Hi all, Yes, the Pendolinos are inbound. They are coming in two tranches: first, the original Virgin, Flowing Silk and DfT variants, then (around 6 weeks later we think) the Virgin Pride and Avanti versions. cheers Ben A.
  4. Hi there, For the first run we are producing 175s in Arriva and TfW livery and 180s in Dynamic Lines (GW and Hull Trains) and Crand Central. There are four different versions to choose from, and with different running numbers too. These options were based on our direct experience of sales in N. Three other versions (175 and 180 in First Barbie and 180 in EMR) will be produced if enough people express interest. If these don't make it then the chances of us producing other arguably more niche versions, like debranded FNW, are almost zero. cheers Ben A.
  5. Hi all, Big thanks to Guy and the rest of the DEMU Showcase team for putting on another superb show. Layouts I had not seen before and really enjoyed were Shirebrook, New Dalby and Brunswick Yard and I enjoyed chatting, albeit briefly, to the Pwllheli team. I saw this layout at Alexandra Palace and was very impressed with its consistency and finesse. Thanks too to Richard and Pete for running our FNA-D wagons on their layouts too. Thanks too to everyone who came up to chat to us on the stand - hopefully we were able to answer most questions! cheers Ben A.
  6. Hello all, For anyone interested internet rail enthusiast Francis Bourgeois has posted a short video about the Martin House railtour last week on his instagram feed https://www.instagram.com/reel/CthNv8fu5Zo/?igshid=Y2IzZGU1MTFhOQ== It even includes a mention of our Drax hoppers as we passed some of the real things! cheers Ben A.
  7. Hi there, The first built versions for DB had nine ribs and bodyside doors witjh parking brake handwheels mounted on the underframe. Later versions built for Ermewa had no bodyside door; versions for VTG have eleven bodyside ribs, with or without a bodyside door and the parking brake equipment on one of the bogies. The latest Touax and Wascosa ones have revised body-mounted parking brakes, while the new GB ones are owned by Porterbrook and have 11 ribs with a bodyside door on one side only and slightly revised ends. cheers Ben A.
  8. Hello all, The issue is that for reasons that we quite understand a significant number of modellers *always* wait until the last minute before ordering. So from our perspective it is hard to be sure of demand until that moment. We have offered 00 models that - based on N gauge demand - we think will sell. Those not offered in 00 are those that, in N, are performing below par so far. That isn't to say we will have to cancel them; we would obviously much rather not, as we know it will leave those who have pre-ordered feeling let down, but if there isn't the demand there isn't the demand. But since we would rather avoid anyone feeling let down, for the 00 offerings we decided to go down the expressions of interest route in the first instance. cheers Ben A.
  9. Hi there, The lighter blue GBRf wagons are part of a new batch owned by Porterbrook and with, again, some detail differences to those produced previously. And yes, we are tooling these versions with the appropriate detail differences. cheers Ben A.
  10. Hi there, We haven't finalised the selection, but I would be surpised if the 'new' versions don't largely echo those produced earlier this year in N. This includes the Cappagh branded and unbranded. The VTG dark blue spot-hire versions were produced last time round, so we may not run these again. cheers Ben A.
  11. Hi all, Revolution Trains will be there and as Mike and I are both long time DEMU members this is one of our favourite shows. You'll find us on stand 8 in the left corner of the auditorium (as you come in) next to Rainbow Railways. As ever we will have all the latest samples on display and are always happy to chat to visitors and answer questions. cheers Ben A.
  12. Hi chaps, We won't hold back with news. When there is something to say we will say it. All we know is that the bodyshells have been completed for ages, and they are just waiting for PCBs for the lights. It's pretty much the same story with every model that needs electronics right now. It's a bit pointless trying to second guess when the models will be here because until we know they are ready to ship we will have no real idea ourselves. Last I heard they were expecting the PCBs imminently, so allowing a couple of weeks for them to be fitted and tested I would imagine they'll be ready to ship very soon - but that is just a guess and not a promise! cheers Ben A.
  13. Hello all, Revolution was delighted join DB Cargo UK and Drax Power for the naming of 66190 in honour of Martin House Children's Hospice, Drax's chosen charity. We were invited due to Revolution and Rails of Sheffield previously donating a share of sales proceeds to. The photo shows Mike and Ben from Revolution with Rosie Mellor-Silvester and Michelle Ford from Martin House and Mark Gibbens from Drax. In total, and largely through arranging a series of exclusive charters, DB Cargo UK, Network Rail and other partners in the rail industry have raised an incredible £200,000 for Martin House Childrens Hospice. The ceremony also included a short railtour from York to Drax and back. For anyone interested there are more details on our website: https://revolutiontrains.com/news/ cheers Ben A.
  14. Hi there, The painted livery elements are the same on both of the early blue-grey versions; only the numbers vary. cheers Ben A.
  15. Hi there, Great looking plan and great progress so far. Vale of Oxbury is a fine layout and very inspirational! cheers Ben A.
  16. Hello all, We have received production samples of the second run Pendolino models. These have been airfreighted over for final checking and, subject to approval, the models should be shipping to customers and retailers in the next 4-6 weeks. There's more information and images on the Revolution news page here: https://revolutiontrains.com/news/ We'd like to thank Rapido for their hard work in producing these models and thank everyone for their ongoing patience - the delays have been as frustrating for us as for anyone however we are in the final straight now! cheers Ben A.
  17. Hi Adam If you mean NSE with GN branding we are - it's 313048 with SKU RT-313-312. It is marked as ECML on the page but features the 'Kings Cross roof' motif. Not the greatest pic - just quickly snapped on my desk with a 'phone - but you get the gist... cheers Ben A.
  18. No - let me thank you! I have corrected my earlier misinformed post! cheers Ben
  19. Hi all, It was great to see lots of faces in the conference centre. My understanding is that the venue made a significant number of last minute changes to both the space available and the admissions processing that caused issues the NGS could not have foreseen. Cheers Ben A.
  20. Hi there, Earlybird price ending June 13th. If you’re anxious about missing out keep an eye on our website. Or better still, if you’re sure just pre-order now. We’ve missed the occasional order if the website is overloaded with a surge in demand just before midnight on deadline day. cheers Ben A.
  21. Hi all, The diagrams we have give the Cartic-4 length as 203'5" over buffers, or 62001.4mm, which scales to 813.7mm in 1:76.2. The models are correct over buffers, but for modellers I suspect a more useful dimension is the distance over the faces of the coupler bars, because this allows you to calculate the minimum amount of space needed in a siding for a unit, and this dimension from the CAD is 823.5mm. cheers Ben A.
  22. We haven't decided is the simple answer. For all variations we need to reach a minimum order number dictated by the factory. If we do that on pre-orders then we may add an additional number set or two, but if not we won't! cheers Ben A.
  23. Hi there, The IWA vans Revolution has done definitely did, the twin vans I am not so sure... cheers Ben A.
  24. There is a small amount of additional tooling needed to accurately depict the latest Wascosa/Network Rail and Touax versions. Once this is done we will open the order book. It won't be long, but we don't have an exact date. cheers Ben A.
  25. The roofs are not designed to be hinged like the prototype. When we have some tooled samples we can assess how simple it may be to add cars. cheers Ben A.
