  1. ADB975659 at Westbury. Just noticed one end has odd buffer heads, one oval and one clipped.
  2. It is definitely Exeter, not sure why they were there. Here's my picture at same location but different units, destinations on view are Shirley and Little Kimble!
  3. I use hex brass standoff (bought from Hong Kong), they're meant for keeping electronic circuit boards apart. You can get 22mm m2 tapped ones off ebay at around a fiver for hundred of them, m3 ones are a bit dearer.
  4. If you're not going to add any track to the base what about sticking a length of upvc strip down the centre of the gutter well, it might stop the stock sliding about in the guttering. Something like this maybe (usual disclaimer about the company in this link, although I have bought from them in the past without incident) http://celplas.co.uk/proddetail.php?prod=25mm-DMould This is starting to look like a giant version of those red plastic Hornby rerailers, which might not be a bad thing!
  5. There was an article in Guild magazine a while ago about using square section plastic guttering for stock trays, I think they had screwed Peco track to the base of the guttering.
  6. I promise I won't hold you to it, but is there any ETA for the 7mm PWM650? How far down the queue is it?
  7. Neat move with the jackshaft fitting, I'll be stealing that idea when I get around to building an 06. Are you certain it's 02 shunter? The 02's I think of are 0-4-0 with no jackshaft.
  8. I would not liked to have been the driver of this one when this happened. Picture taken at Newport south Wales stabling point, sorry no idea when it was taken.
  9. No idea where I got this from but I always thought the 1 was put on doors where you had no through access to 2nd/standard class.
  10. Great thread, just want to make sure that you're aware that Markits list 3mm Romford axles for Bachmann with or without the knurling for a gog.
  11. Taken a few years ago now, but these cattle pens might still be there buried further in the undergrowth the other side of the road bridge at Yeovil Pen Mill
  12. Sometime in the Summer of 1992, oddly I didn't write the date in my book although I did note the time! 10 minutes past six in the evening, a slim jim 33208 heading south (note the shedplate just below the headlight). And six minutes later heading North 33002
  13. A couple of 33019 at Westbury on 22nd March 1993
  14. Somebody must have a better picture of the Porterbrook livery? Although in my opinion it didn't suit the class at all so maybe this poorly lit effort will do!
  15. 47598 at Exeter showing differing front ends, 1st arriving from south and the 2nd after coming off that train and on route to stabling.
  16. Four pictures of 56086 shunting nuclear flasks at Bridgwater and then heading north with a train of four flasks.
  17. Ryuichi Sakamoto, ralaxing music for railway modelling. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=TCZjo-CfU1s http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hOIhRHje9Vc&feature=fvwrel
  18. Yeovil Pen Mill Excuse the loss of quality with the large crop please:
  19. 37372 before the Baby Deltic Project! Westbury 22 March 1993
  20. Overheard in Ikea: Couple in the lighting section, she makes a phone call 'Hello, we're in the lighting area now which one was it you wanted?' Pause for a few seconds, then turns to her partner and says 'she can't remember which one, but it was a funny sounding Swedish word' I had to walk away...
  21. Two shots of 60093 just south of Cogload junction, sorry I don't know the dates they were taken (lost my notebooks in a housemove) but I'm pretty sure they were consecutive evenings. Interesting that on the second day somebody had cleaned the cab sides.
  22. This thread has jogged my memory, I remember seeing more than once a 12 wheeled dining/buffet/restaurant coach in blue/grey at Taunton in the early to mid 1970s. I assume now that it was an ex-LMS coach but at that time we were only interested in when the next Western would appear so I have no notes of it's number and certainly no pictures. I've not seen or heard mention of it since and everywhere I've checked implies that the 12-wheeled dining cars were gone by the early/mid sixties, anybody have any idea what it was please ?
  23. 23rd Sept 2009 at Severn Tunnel Junction 37608 leading 37607 Also some earlier pictures in my china clay day gallery: http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/gallery/album/2058-a-china-clay-day/
  24. I'm no expert on rebuilt MN firebox should look like but look what I found in the attic, my first attempt at a loco kit (which explains the wonky cab!):
