Hobbyco seems to have lost interest in supporting vi spares.
Some people have had luck in contacting vi in Italy direct.
TBh you'd be better off replacing them with better ones as the moulds are pretty naff. If you don't go down that path send me a PM as I may have some vi spares

I'd love to see this in the flesh and there's not many layouts I'd say that about.
Is there any appearances near swindon ? Or I'm in chian clay country from 23-30 May ?
-
There are pictures of this in ' diesels on shed ' from OpC that I have. I guess copyright stops me reproducing them here, although OPC is long defunct ?
-
The word yodel fills me with fear.
All my deliveries from them have been poor
-
Missed it again !
-
Looking really good, I'm sure it'll be a hit at the show
-
I've used wicked tiles with hobby craft pVA for ages with no problems.
I wonder how much longer diy stores will stock cork tiles though as a/ can't be popular anymore b/ some places won't stock them as an environmental issue ( B&Q told me this as they didn't have any )

Those tanks are cool, I'm looking for some slurry tanks circa 1982, but I'm not sure what they had TBH
-
Looks pretty good piece of personalisation, I'll have to see if I can make Chippenham.
I guess if you don't like 33s, you can omit them as all the local freight / Portsmouth runs was 31/0 , 31/4 at that time ?
Looking at Kevin's thread I think there was a fair few peak diagrams around, this is borne out by the shots of them at bath road
-
I didn't think of the flask trains.
Are you having any bath road 56s or where they later too ?
-
Ok, can't argue with the evidence !
-
25s ? At Bristol ? Whatever next...
-
That looks alot better I think.
I may get to see the layout as all the appearances are local to me
-
Loving the layout, would love to see it at some point it looks great.
Here's my 47104, maybe we should start a WR fleet
A minor suggestion, if any, the parcels bridge may have looked better if it went to a very low relief impression of a building the other side - it kinda goes into the hills at present ?
Anyway, keep up the good work

Just buy two pristine ones then, and change the number on one ! Simples.

He demolished it ? Wtf ?

Love the slurry loader,
I could do with building one of these for my plank
-
That looks like a good plan for an interesting project. Good luck with it; at least there would be lots of activity in its heyday, although it looks to have undergone some rationalisation in recent years.
The big building at the back appeared to be going to take over as the new servicing facility when it was being built 20 years ago (or at least that is what I assumed.
Now, from that overhead view, it seems to be completely unconnected with rails and looks more of a white elephant.
I think that was the new office for trainload coal in fact.

Neither mate, mainly hand operated points
-
And I bet you weren't shunting as slowly as most 08s you see at exhibitions !
I think sometimes modellers forget it was a job people were trying to get done ASAP
-
Very interesting, swindon.
It's these insights that I really love.
Were locos allowed to be hot refulled ? IE engines running or was everything shut down
-
All very interesting, but the changing of locos and assisting up the banks - this is steam stuff surely ?
I guess it just stayed where it was like you said......did locos run light from Paignton and Torquay for fuel or anything ?
Reminds me of Woodford halse near where I used to live that I never understood the importance of either
-
Hi,
Just looking through some old pictures of peaks at this location in the late 70s.
I'm at a loss to work out why it existed - a smallish insignificant town with large stabling and maintenance facilities.
Surely most expresses kept going to Paignton / Torquay or down to the Cornwall area ?
-
Tilling points with CL track ?
I'd be interested in hearing how that's goes as I was thinking CL track and peco points for my next one.

Nice work...
Can I ask what you use paint wise to match to Bachmann blue diesels warning panel yellow ? Seems a lot more mustard than the railmatch 1202 pre 84 warning panel yellow
