The VOPAK police are watching

Blimey Neil, is EWS back in the day ? I feel old now....I was 24 when EWS was born....
-
Outstanding !

I think the model looks great.
If you are modelling something like an industrial area with limited operation, you have to get the detail spot on to make it interesting and you have definitely done that !

It's generally a waste of time trying to sell stuff to shops, they want too much mark up.
I tried to sell them a ltd edition 37 and 56, they offered a total of £70.
No thanks

There's plenty to choose from !

Good old duffs.
I can't remember seeing many in the early EWS years.
I used to chase the Calvert bin liners a lot as they passed through the chilterns, where I lived, but these were never 47s - almost everything else but not those.
Project evergreen through up a lot of surprises - I do remember 2x RFD 47s top and tail shunting some salmons in and out of the former Thame branch one evening in a thunderstorm.
That's what I enjoyed about the period - unusual traction in unusual places

Interesting and effective technique for trees !

Hmmm, makes me wonder if my boiler ports are correct as I haven't messed with them
-
Do you have plans to do 47016 atlas ?
I'll never forget this old dinosaur turning up at risborough with a load of salmons as part of evergreen...
Lots of character and late 90s to boot

The level of detail is amazing.
You need a few more waitrose MILfs though....

Indeed mate , newer version .missing fan belt as I got rid of that to improve its movement

Don't pull things off, unless you are prepared to paint over the rusty bits !

Don't want another 56 ? Trying to shift my metals one, can't even get 65 for it in Ebay...
That 505. Is a beast and nicely modelled. I hated it when EWS pulled off all the depot plaques in such an unsightly way.
I can understand they didn't want the Br arrows, but the depot plaques weren't harming anyone

Oh dear,
So this coach is a bit pants.
The Hornby HST mk3 is a bit pants too.
Lucky I've got some 47/0s to haul some Bachmann mk1s...

Some good projects on the go there. There's nothing more satisfying than personalising locos

Very nice, detailed looking layout.
I'm always amazed at others patience at making structures like that - I don't have very much which is why I haven't finished a layout in 15 years of trying

Ha ha classic !
Shame they can't pulp my wife's kindle and its badly written pseudo porn romance books for middle aged women.

Those baseboards are great - is their a website please ?

I have some VGAs , but untouched as I stopped modelling the ews period.
Should really flog em, but I like that wagon

Ah but don't forget, they didn't arrive at once.
Load haul, transrail and mainline appeared in 94,
Then Wisconsin Central brought the lot ( and rfd eventually ) and started EWS
And who in their right mind, thought, three different bidders would buy LH,TR and mainline to compete against each other for small slices of a small market...
