IP address of the router is 192.168.0.111 which i believe is the default address it's supplied with. The phone can see the TP-Link router on the wifi network and shows an IP address of 192.168.0.100, Subnet Mask of 255.255.255.0 and Router 192.168.0.1 It was happily working one day and then not the next without me making any changes to the settings.

Because I really need to use my phone rather than iPad as a throttle. If I can't I'll need to find a system I can actually use. I've asked on several Facebook groups so far no one can find what the problem is.

Hopefully someone can shed some light on this. My iphone is refusing to connect to my Z21. I've checked the IP settings and all looks ok to me but I'm the first to admit I'm no expert (far from it!). All I'm getting is "No Connection to Z21" in the programming tab and a light grey pop-up message of "A network error has occurred". My ipad is still working fine so I'd assume the Z21 itself isn't the problem. Any ideas other than buying a different DCC system?

Rails of Sheffield acquire Hattons name and product database

If French Customs have incorrectly charged and the information on the Customs label was correct it's down to French Customs to reimburse you. -

The only fault there then lies with French Customs not the seller or ebay. And having the misfortune to deal with French Customs on a daily basis this doesn't surprise me in the least! -
Only the one? I share my house with "Merlin" my two and a bit year old tabby. He's young and very enthusiastic when it comes to hunting. This years tally of pigeons (bog standard variety) is I think, 14 or 15...I've lost count. All end up being placed lovingly on the living room carpet. The first arrived about 6 hours after the carpet was laid! He also can add various mice (usually live) and a particularly lively and pee'd off magpie (at 3am) to his delivery quota. Finn, a recently departed gingey- topped this by managing to wrestle a rolled up hedgehog through the catflap. Not that he really knew what to do with it once he'd performed this feat. Young Merlin always tries to protest his innocence but.....well you'll see...... (and yes I need to finish painting the wall!)

The problem is (certainly with my doctors surgery) that there are so many people trying to phone up and talk to someone it gridlocks the system and most people can simply never get through or speak to anyone. Now that my surgery has taken the booking of appointments online you do stand a fighting change of actually getting one. Those that can't use the online service can still phone and because the vast majority of people are booking online, actually speak to someone where that wasn't possible (most of the time) before. It's split the "traffic"!

Farewell Shenfield Shark

You forgot the SR brakevan at Manea which is another forgotten East Anglian relic of near mythical status... -
The handbrake on my auto wouldn't hold the car stationary while it's in drive (especially after just being started while it's on fast idle). I tend to put it in park or neutral if I know the wait will be more than a few seconds.

Protoneo are very good and have a wide range. Shawplan also good.

Tata Steel to close Port Talbot blast furnaces and replace with electric-arc.
admiles replied to C126's topic in Wheeltappers
Anti-dumping duties are in wide use already both by the UK and EU member states so perfectly legal to use. -

Yes, I'm aware of tariff quotas. I'm involved with the import of steel from various parts of the world. Quotas aren't quite the same thing as anti-dumping duties but obviously can also be used to control the amount of a certain product being imported. -

We have a very easy and effective way to control the import (dumping) of "cheap" Chinese steel into the UK. Anti-dumping duties. Widely in use already to increase the price of imported steel to the point it becomes unattractive to buyers. Of course that also has the side effect of increasing the cost of steel products but I'm sure the average "Joe" won't mind paying a bit more to support British jobs....won't they? Incidentally the "B" event has made it easier for "us" to implement such controls. Of course the EU also use Anti-dumping duties for the same reason. -
Well, I'll say a simple well done and thank you to the members of the Warley club both past and present for bringing us so many successful shows. It truly was a monster to organize. I hope it continues in some form or another at another venue. Well done and enjoy the rest Warley MRC!

Total boll*cks and really insulting to teachers. In general teaching is a completely different skill set and not comparable to other jobs/industries.

I was thinking about the ones with TTA tops codes...

Not putting airbrake pipes/equipment on air braked wagons is a pretty fundamental error. Especially in 7mm.
-
Thanks.....thanks what I suspected. Just how does anyone get it that badly wrong??
-
Has anyone got any photos of these end-on? All the photos I've seen so far are side-on but there seems to be a lack of air-brake pipes fitted to the bufferbeams. Unless they're in a detail pack?

Hattons to Charge Local Taxes on Overseas Purchases
admiles replied to Jon Harbour's topic in Model Shop Guide
Not really as the tax paid (VAT as model railway items are free of import duty) goes to HMR&C. The £13 handling fee goes to Royal Mail for processing the Customs declaration. Whether it's good value or not is open to debate! By way of comparison my companies basic Customs clearance fee for commercial goods is £25.00 (to other forwarding agents) Importers pay a bit more! This can be for a 40' container. -
Hattons to Charge Local Taxes on Overseas Purchases
admiles replied to Jon Harbour's topic in Model Shop Guide
What tax are Hattons talking about here though? UK VAT which can be deducted from export orders (though lots of shops don't do this) or local taxes in the countries of destination (GST in Australia to use Jon's example above)? Big difference which needs clarification. -
Love to know what she's doing there. Have a weird "thing" for RoRo vessels. 🤪
