      Found it - was the scalefour Society lever frame - all in two boxes and complete, surprisingly for me. Now just measuring to make sure the room is right.

    has spent the last three hours looking for the roll of aluminium oxide grit paper I know I have. Haven't found it but rediscovered a whole treasure trove of tools I'd forgotten about.

      Friend's son works for firm which won't allow carry-over of leave. But when he tried to book days off to use up the annual leave, they claimed those dates had already been booked by other people!

    Looking at MRJ no 6 and the Dave Rowlands article, can see a use for a High Level compact gearbox (AKA shoehorn) in there somewhere. It'll be an engineering challenge and has gone a long way to upping my mojo. My justification - s*d it, it's pretty. Gibson do Manning Wardle 3ft wheels - 9 inch throw crank. Their 2' 9" are a Hudswell Clarke pattern with a 7 1/2 inch throw.

    We are going over and over ONE person's non-communication. I have had query andswered promptly and then after ordering the goods delivered promptly. How they run their business is up to them, but I'm satisfied with my dealings with them.

    My dealings with Morley - placed an order - got acknowledgement - controller arrived. No probs. They deal with 230v countries - not 110v - that would be a more expensive special. and I'm not surprised that they don't do it. Agree with Kenton regarding responses.

    Has just discovered by touch which end of the soldering iron is the hot end.

      Am now repeating the wrong end of the soldering iron experiemnt with hot saucepans. I'm definitely not safe at teh moment.
