  1. Thanks to you and PH it is really appreciated. Peterm - I will certainly post them on the Industrial Railway Society - thanks for the suggestion.
  2. Hello, would anyone be able to help narrow down the details on some locos from some of my negatives. First is a Belgian State Railways Type 51 built by Couillet of which 4 were built for the Mines of Crespin. Can anyone help with which number it might be and when it was taken Next is 1705 built by Cail & Cie - somewhere in Spain, can anyone help to tie down where and when it was taken and anything more on the loco? Finally is 0-4-4-0 tank E159 - thought to be in Portugal, but there is no concreate evidence yet. Any help on getting more information on these negatives in my collection would be really appreciated.
  3. Very interesting. Do any of your members know of a photo showing the whole of the rear of the box at West Moors. The only views are part views and Peter Russell who as you may know is an expert on the lines in the area does not know of a view.
  4. A good one yesterday a Finecast etched LSWR B4 chassis, un started and complete for £18 to go under a scratchbuilt body of 30096, nice and really happy with that.
  5. Or paid staff are trying to protect themselves and push volunteers out to justify their own existence. Just a different point of view
  6. I have at least 30 or so negatives of Wincanton and its buildings so can post more if interested and when the chance arises will see what I have in terms of plans. I'm sure there is something, just have to find it.
  7. This week I feel totally and finally vindicated that I was gaslighted and probably discriminated against by my last manager (the HRD) they said my role was redundant, yet an exact same role is currently being advertised. They got me to sign a settlement agreement and even though it says it closes off discrimination claims case law now says that is not possible. I can't be bothered with the hassle, just knowing I was right is victory enough. For some it might have been a set back, but ironically it has made me feel better. Odd how things go. If you are being made to feel like its all your fault, doubting yourself, being micromanaged there can be a world beyond.
  8. All the buildings on the Dorset Central were built to a standard design with only minimal differences. In the case of Wincanton. For overall dimensions they fit with that at Sturminster Newton . However as this Rimmer shot shows did not have a rear door. I don't think I have done Wincanton main building, but have done the box and Up waiting shelter I I have got quite a few negatives of Wincanton as I've always thought it a good location
  9. There are a number of reasons for it the bookings being open for events through the year and the announcement of the timetable which is trains only starting from Kidderminster a maximum of 1 steam and 1 or 2 diesel. So a bit more complicated. Volunteers are not able to comment due to the Social Media Policy and have to be careful of what they write.
  10. The paid staff were accounting for about 30% of all turnover. There are lots of rumours floating around of which none have been confirmed. What is certain is that 2023 will be a tough year.
  11. It does , but as the valves were still not set (the SVR offered to do it) the furthest back you could get was 55%! - On ovoids it was using a ton per trip
  12. The first Gala visitor has been announced for Spring Gala. 4079 'Pendennis Castle' will make its first heritage railway appearance at the April event celebrating GWR and formation of the grouping 100 years ago.
  13. You just have to love a pig. Like a comfy pair of old slippers, rough around the edges but does the job wonderfully
  14. Thanks for all your hard work @AY Mod it looks like you have got things resolved. You really do have incredible patience. Its nice to be just back to the normal premium settings.
  15. As they got on the S&D you can also include an S11 (1940s) 4F, 2P, underbuilt West Country. Whilst on the Corkscrew and Salisbury and Dorset you can add K10, L11 and 700
  16. Yes it was and was based out of Bedford shed for that time
  17. Brrr , well instead of a nice warm house the boiler was condemned and the new one will not be fitted till next Thursday. Its enough to try and stay warm!
  18. No progress this week due to failure of the central heating last Tuesday and it is just too cold to do anything apart from things that will bring warmth Ironing, cooking, running around with the hoover. Hopefully we will have it working again tomorrow and be back to it.
  19. No its affecting Pcs too with an ad banner over an amount of the bottom and pop ups
  20. 50% of all turnover currently goes on paid staff.
  21. Hopefully the ad you have just put up @AY Modwill help you to get issues like these fixed quicker and with less loss of hair.
  22. We feel your pain. However this thread is great as it meant I found out quickly there was an issue and its known about and being worked on. What a couple of days you have had.
