  1. Nice to see my old work place in the back ground of C7448. I did 12 years there making cardboard boxes 1990 - 2002.
  2. Ha Ha !! I looked it up as well . It's a furniture store now (Vasey's).
  3. Look how high the pantograph is on the 87 !! Wow, it must be at full stretch.
  4. Going back to post #33. Wouldn't the class 47 still have an operating head code in 1975?
  5. I like the new look. Brings a much needed freshness to the Pendo's.
  6. The Glazebrook Tanks always had a EE Type 3 (Class 37) on it when we went through en-route to Doncaster in the early to mid 1970's
  7. 67018 Keith Heller needs a good T-Cut and polish. The paint looks very faded
  8. Was there a saga with the Type 21's? Was it to do with potential exports? Just curious, as I served on one fresh out of Yarrows on the Clyde.
  9. Genuinely shocked at how overgrown the line side is looking down from Slutchers Lane Bridge. Didn't there used to be a signal there? I'm sure there was.
  10. "Slutchers Lane", that brings back lots of memories. I worked at Thames Case from 90 -02, plus I was a regular down there as a teenager from 72 - 75. Cardboard boxes and double headed 50's.
  11. One of my old ships. HMS Endurance at work, deep South 1981. A great ship that worked in a great part of the world, which unfortunately lost it's innocence a year later.
  12. A Royal Navy Facebook group is currently discussing the current American difficulties at sea. It prompted the question "did you serve on a ship that had a bump"? I was stunned to see that it was more common place than I thought over the years.
  13. Nice everyday shot of naval activity of the time in J6541David. I did my Sonar training at HMS Vernon in the Winter / Spring of 1976 / 77. It's now Gunwharf Quays.
  14. It was never great. Back in 1978 I got in showing a blue taxi card and a small photograph of Debbie Harry
  15. The distant sound of a EE Type 3

  20. Great photo's, great thread. I have followed every page, what a time machine! Regarding the Deltic shot (C2199) would it not still have a head code in 1975 as opposed to dominos ?
  21. Not in work tomorrow !! Horray !!
