Having been a fan of Scalescenes for a while, I've just been having what I thought was a good look at what other suppliers of downloadable card building kits there are out there, but I'm coming to the conclusion that Scalescenes don't really have much serious competition in terms of sophistication and subtlety of finish. Is this really the case?

  Funnily enough, I had recently embarked on the same research. And arrived at a similar conclusion, certainly in N Gauge - which is usually even less well served than OO/HO.

  I agree 100%. Nobody else comes anywhere near scalescenes. Both in the quality of the images and the robustness and cleverness of the construction. Even the preprinted ones such as Metcalf and superquick are not as good.
  
  Scalescenes take a little more effort in the cutting out and you need to be accurate, but it is straightforward. I have made loads of the scalescenes kits and enjoyed every one.
