  1. I did speak with Dapol Richard at Warley today in relation to the GWR Toplight Corridor stock. One of the diagrams he told that was being done was GWR C32 Third.
  2. Whilst I was doing some wagon browsing tonight, I happened to come across this GWR 10t Loco Wagon 9313 (diagram N19 I think) located at Machynlleth in BR (W) Grey livery. As a wagon researcher this is the first time I have come across a GWR 10T Loco wagon in this livery. Would anyone who happens to have any photos or books relating to Machynlleth Locomotive Depot be able to see if they can find anymore photos of this wagon please? I know it's a longshot but thank you :)
  3. Another option is a GWR Cordon. P.38 of the GWR Journal No.1, no.74 hauling Cordon No.10 behind it in 1910.
  4. Can anyone give me the range of running numbers that the new Blue Circle Cement example alongside the other Rapido cement vans (BPCM and Ferrocrete) would have been numbered in please? I have four of the Ferrocrete and I want get several of the Blue Circle for renumbering at somepoint...
  5. I happily welcome Rapido's announcement with open arms. I myself I have seen numerous LNWR Dia.88 Goods Vans in one a many Big Four photos and it's been one of the wagons I have wanted to add for ages. All six LMS examples will be making their way to me!! In my years of doing wagon research and observing many photos, I have found that there are not many wagons that achieved so many variations of livery in their lifespans. The LNWR Dia.88 is one of the few that has the this honour. I wouldn't be surprised if these vans even found their way into the Port Authorities or NCB ownership... I will further add that one of particular van of interest that post-war modellers (especially @gwrrob in particular) should pay attention to is 945006 Dia.88 10T Van – No.276164 – LMS Grey (pre-1936). This van was photographed in March 1946 still bearing the LMS Grey and pre-1936 lettering.
  6. GWR Iron Mink, LSWR Goods Vans and now LNWR Dia.88 Vans... we are getting spoiled rotten for pre-grouping stock atm!!
  7. Lovely job at the South Devon Railway. Hopefully not be long til we SVR's example of a C10 2426 back up and running with the rest of the GWR coach stock :)
  8. To say the least @Graham_Muz it's not going to be easy choosing my Wagon of the Year when it comes to the eventual pollings... going to be a smackdown between Iron Mink and these methinks.
  9. GWR Iron Mink, 4 Plank, Toad, Loriot Y, SR 8 Plank, SECR 6w Brake Van, LMS D1666 Opens and now LSWR Vans!! My trio have arrived today and I can certainly say this has been a good year for the Pre-Grouping and Big Four wagon scene!! Whilst we still have two months to go til the end of 2023, I can say that EFE's LSWR Vans have finished off a good year for steam era modellers :)
  10. Whilst I'm still hoping that this will end in a good result and deliver us a much needed as well iconic GWR wagon, their drama/antics when it comes to alternate liveries for models such as Big Bertha is not giving me much confidence at the moment...
  11. Damn these look great!! Just typical when I'm set to go away for a week that these vans arrive!! Already told my supplier when he gets him to send them up!! Cannot wait :)
  12. Three Thane of Fife on ebay so far... not took aslong as I thought.
  13. This is not going to be an easy year for me... GWR Iron Mink, 4 Plank, Toad, Loriot Y, SR 8 Plank, SECR 6w Brake Van and now LSWR Vans!! Wondered how long it'd be until we'd see a OO version of the Vans after Kernow's O gauge stunners. Happy to see we won't have to wait long now. Right... time to sell my Cambrian kits.
  14. Thank you but I am looking for information on the tender rather than the body.
  15. I would like to bump this back up as I have question on the subject of the LMS Streamlined Coronation tenders... I bought yesterday a new Hornby LMS Coronation 'Duchess of Hamilton' with the plan being that it would be repainted from LMS Maroon into LMS Wartime Black at somepoint. Upon doing some research, I've learnt that'd be better to sell this one on and get one with a double chimney rather than single one. Looking for candidates to go with, I'm thinking on LMS 6243 'City of Lancaster' but I want to know when the tender (TYPE A 9806 built 5/40) got de-streamlined by the LMS.
  16. Does anyone know if the Bachmann H1 and H2 chassis with the exception of the Valvegear Cylinder part identical? I am thinking of putting a Bachmann H2 chassis to a use.
  17. I did ask today if there were any updates as to the MICA vans. My reply was "We should have renders to show soon."
  18. @rapidoandy @RapidoCorbs I will let you answer the question :) A duty it carries out very well :)
  19. It's brilliant to see this in OO gauge at long last... now I just need to introduce the OO counterpart to the larger scale counterpart.
  20. I imagine someone here will be explain why this was the case with the Loriot Y. It may have to do with it's loads being bulldozers or heavy duty equipment. Either way someone will know. Tbh I never picked up on this wording until I saw the model and looked back at my photos of 41990 when I first took photos of it back in 2011. I think so too. I will wait to see what the Hornby example looks like but tbh I am happy to have waited abit longer for Rapido's incredible job. This year's 2023 Pollings for awards are going to be tough...
  21. And nice little card with the Loriot Y too...
