  1. Good detailing with the trackwork, the weeds and rusty rails are a nice detail to add, there quite common these days!
  2. What I meant was its a shame it was damaged on arrival, what a waste!
  3. Shame 70012 wont be working in the UK,brand new yet no good!
  4. The first Express Models depot light was fitted today, worked first time!

  5. It is time that more of the existing network used for freight is electrified as the days of oil based products(diesel) forming the main backbone to move freight are numbered. If diesel traction still reigns supreme in say 20-30 years there will be big problems. Oil prices will increase as stockpiles dwindle so now is really the time to give some consideration to what lines would be most beneficial to being electrified. Especially lines you mentioned like the Felixstowe branch which is used frequently daily, the electification of the existing network should be given a higher prority than building new lines such as HS2.
  6. Well diesels may be able to be manufactured now to low fuel consumption designs but what happens when all the oil runs out?
  7. The 70s would not have needed to be built if the trains they mainly haul, bulk coal MGRs, wasnt lost by EWS to Freightliner Heavy Haul over the past 10 years. If more of Freightliners Heavy Haul work was in the hands of EWS(DB Schenker) then 60s would be used and so the 70s would not be required. For the container trains they haul, wouldnt a new and far more powerful electric loco design been a more environmentally freindly option than these type 5 diesels?
  8. Very nice to see another modern depot/fueling point scenic layout, following with interest. Regards Lewis
  9. Is investing in a lot of Express Models lighting for Dallam TMD

  10. 60079 has been hauled to Toton by 66118 for an overhaul according to WNXX.com,however 059 was assigned for overhaul only to be rejected and the overhaul of 007 is yet to be completed.
  11. The layout is coming together very well, looks impressive. Regards Lewis

  16. Hello Is the Liverpool Bulk Terminal- Fiddlers Ferry PS MGR coal currently running? If so does anyone know of any times when it will be passing either Bank Quay or Arpley/Latchford sidings? Regards Lewis
  17. I know what you mean, although one of the cabs of 60085 has the windscreen wipers always facing the sides of the windscreen. The same was said about the grids, the horn grill gave them a 'mean' look.
  18. Nice to see a 'suitable' 60 on Boxenby at last. However if you changed the OHLE warning flashes to pre 1998 versions on your 60054 model you could have another Tug for Boxenbys allocation Excellent work with the interior detailing, keep up the superb work. Regards Lewis
  19. Welcome to RM Web!

  20. Looking superb Max, Im eager to see the layout develop, Regards Lewis
  21. The new backscene looks amazing, South Wales Freight is one of my favourite layouts on the forum B) Regards Lewis
  22. 59201 is the next loco heading to join Dallams allocation

  23. The Bachmann 66 isnt that good performance wise as far as I have experienced. My model of 66068 was terrible when it first arrived and didnt manage to move much. However after fitting various different DCC chips it is now working ok although it still doenst have the feel of quality like the Hornby 60 has. I think its time the 'ultimate' 66 model was released with much better performance. Try cleaning the wheels, it helped with mine. Regards Lewis
  24. Nice weathering on 09107 B) I like the overgrown and run down atmosphere of the yard area too. Regards Lewis
