  1. Wow! what a great fleet of 60s :blink How many do you have Alex? Regards Lewis
  2. 60s in Poland! A 60 struggles to get to the South coast of England at the moment! As with regard to the 90s, I think 90050 will be the first 'Skoda' to be cut-its in a rather derelict condition at Crewe EMD. DBS have flooded the market recently with locos for sale so prehaps not all of the 90s will sell.DBS couldnt find a buyer for the bulk of the 56s offered at the end of last year so the chance of them selling the 12 90s offered for sale seems unlikely,no other operator would be likely to buy them as they would need some extensive attention/possibly overhaul. Also as they are relatively 'modern' (1990s) DBS may place a reserve price on them as they did with the 60s.
  3. Another Hornby 'Tug' will be arriving at Dallam TMD over the next month

No, its 60026 which I will be renumbering to 60039. It will have faded decals-just like yours.

      Regards

  4. Looks amazing Alex, the layout is really starting to resemble Toton TMD B) Regards Lewis
  5. I heard the reason why the 20 cl60s didnt sell was because they had reserve prices which made them too expensive for scrappies. I doubt any 60s will be offered for sale until DBS have finished the 'super 60' overhauls as they can steal parts from the stored locos to put into the overhauled ones.
  6. The DBS 60011 models were £174 dcc ready and £274 DCC sound fitted,I would buy one if I could
  7. 60006 or 033 has fire damage I think? Many others have simply suffered from lack of an overhaul and have been run into the ground.
  8. Prehaps, although I think some of the current servicable locos will be overhauled. Like 60039,60054,60040,60074,60096 which have all been in service regually recently. Although 60011 looks great externally, I bet it could do with an overhaul of its internals. And of course 60007 will be one of the 'super 60s'.
  9. The 20 offered for sale didnt find buyers, looks like DBS stuck with them for a bit longer... Well yes I know popularity doenst matter,I was saying it from an enthusiasts point of view Regards Lewis
  10. Great news on the 60s but still a maximum of 21 'Super 60s' is nowhere near the once 100 stong fleet .What will they do with the other 79? If they were re engined with MTUs,wouldnt there popularity drop? Overall though good news B) ,should the thread be renamed Class 60- saved by schenker? Regards Lewis
  11. Hi Alex Have you seen the Videoscene DVD Toton:The Works? It has some really good footage of inside Toton TMD,it may be of help to see what details would be seen in a large TMD-including the walkways which you are currently modelling . Regards Lewis
  12. As 70012 is at Newport docks, isnt it going to be retured to the US to manufacturer General Electric? Will a replacement be built?
  13. This layout is quickly becoming one of my faviourite BR steam era layouts on the forum B)
  14. Thats a trio of great pictures, its nice to see a silver 60 on the LBT-FFPS workings instead of the usual maroon
  15. I wouldnt be suprised if 011 was stored sometime this year. It has suffered fire damage in the past so this wouldnt have helped the general mechanical condition of engine room area. It appears 37670 has been sold to EMR, what a waste (of paint and a loco!)
  16. It would be terrible if 054 was repainted 011 looks good, although its a shame to see the last Mainline Freight liveried loco bite the dust. The DB Schenker logo would look better in the centre of the body side like it is on 66152. Regards Lewis
  17. Looking great Leon, I really like this layout B) Regards Lewis
  18. Looking good Leon, nice collection of Tractors B)
  19. 47272 looks amazing -one other detail that could improve its appearance is one of the cab roofs a bit damaged/removed as this is often seen on 47s in the process of being scrapped. The cab roof is made from fibre glass and is prone to being removed early in the scrapping process It does look really authentic, some bulkheads would be a nice detail to model too . Regards Lewis
  20. Just seen the changes taking on place on Causeway Junction-looks interesting, ill be following to see progress!

  21. The trackwork looks very impressive B)
  22. A couple of fotopic images shows that 60011 is being rubbed down for a repaint...
  23. still on the look out for some replacement class 60 glazing...

  24. Type 5 power for shunting duties? What on earth are they shunting at Eastleigh!
