  11. Hi, great layout you have there, looks like its interesting to operate B) Good choice loco wise with the EWS 'Grid' 56059 Regards Lewis
  12. Another superb TMD layout, I dont know how Ive missed this for so long! Regards Lewis
  13. Your right about there being few UK DBS owned maintenance facilities with Toton, Doncaster and Eastleigh being some of the few capable of major work/overhauls since the mass closure of TMDs such as Crewe Diesel, Thornaby, Canton, Margam etc. Does anyone know when 60007 will be completed?
  14. DBS will in future to hire in DRS 37/4s for engineering trains which cant be operated by 66s. It works out cheaper to hire in DRS tractors on an 'as when needed' basis than keeping operational a small fleet of their own 37/4s. DRS could use this to their advantage to charge higher fees for hiring their 37s I would have thought the 59/2s would need an overhaul as they are 14/15 years old and havent been given any major attention since EWS bought the National Power operations in 1998.
  15. Nice to see a shed, a change from all those grey 37s!
  16. You would have thought 37419 and 670 got full overhauls before they were repainted, they didnt and less than 2 years later DBS has sold both of them! With 419 not working harly any revenue earning trains at all.
  17. It will be nice to see some more DBS red locos As long as 60054 retains its Trainload Petroleum identity, the last railfreight sector liveried loco left running B) I dont think DBS should be painting 60s before their overhauled as the nice new paint work will be ruined during the overhaul process...
  18. Fiddle yard almost complete....

  19. Hi Alex That some 80s BR fleet!, after seeing those latest images I had a vision of all the locos fitted with DCC sound either idiling or starting up,that would certainly create a Toton-style atmosphere B) Keep it up,looks excellent. Regards Lewis
  20. Even though I don't model 1980s BR I really like this layout, the last pic of 27105 is hard to tell if its a model or not! Regards Lewis
  21. This looks amazing, cant wait to see more! B)
  22. The pictures have a very 90s feel to them B)
  23. Not long till 026 arrives for a 'G exam' on Dallam TMD- ie a renumber to 60039!
