  1. BIL on evening shuttle to London Bridge passes Cable Street box
  2. Hi Adam, Thanks for the kind words and encouragement. I have a class C awaiting weathering and some detail work. My next tasks are to finish an ARP box and retro fit some catch points before starting the point rodding. Cheers Ian B
  3. Return working of some cross town traffic. Weathered down the J50 and stock.
  4. Sorry Richard, I hope you don't think I am hijacking ur thread, but can anyone direct me toward a drawing of the wagon above, or tell me the wheel base? Many thanks. Ian B
  5. Thanks so much for getting back on that, I'll have to get a C.P. in place,as you say there should be one! I guess I'll put a FPL in, they always add to the scene! Thanks again Ian B
  6. Hi Guys, a question, I am about to start on point rodding etc. I am uncertain about placing FPLs. My question is would the turnout on the left of the snap have one. In theory the EMUs passing over it to the lay-by would not have passengers on board, can anyone help? Once again thanks for your help! Ian B
  7. Late to the party, but thoroughly enjoyed all of that. Absolute respect and thanks to all who had a part organising and taking part. Ian B
  8. So sorry to hear Dave has crossed the bar, we both used to work for Stephenson Clarke Shipping, I used to enjoy chatting about the old days at exhibitions. A great guy and a huge loss to this wonderful hobby. Ian Blenkinsopp
  9. Hi Paul, Thanks so much for taking the time to reply, I think on the basis that I like the ARP box I will include it. I have also planned a temporary station building at ground level based on the one on the ELL at Wapping, the supposition being that end of the station suffered some bomb damage, so I'm guessing an ARP box would fit in well with that. Thanks again Ian
  10. I hadn't realised Dave Alexander had passed away. A small photographic tribute. R.I.P.
  11. Done, apart from ladder, which I'll do when I finish off the platform furniture. Cable runs next, so my list says. I didn't use the modified Eckon signal head as it din't look 'chunky' enough for the actual one, which I'm guessing contained the mechanical apparatus to change the route slides. Cheers Guys
  12. Work very much in progress, needs a clean up of solder and adjustment. Elevated ground signal to improve visibility at platform end, controls three paths. The apparent coloured light signal is a route indicator which will show which path the road is set for, Need to blank off bottom aspect.
  13. I Know, No BILs or HALs especially with yellow faces.
  14. Beginning to doubt whether there would have been a box in the position shown. Most likely at the 'entrance' end of the station. So will probably replace with shunter's bothy (concrete). Can anyone confirm this. I have to say I cannot find a precedence for there being a box in such a position in this region. Shame I do like the austerity of the A.R.P.s Thanks guys Ian B
  15. Canopies done, need some platform furniture. ARP box next
  16. Making a start with the station canopies, obviously just pace holding at the moment. Awaiting SER valencing from Roxey Moldings. I used embossed lead sheet for the corrugated iron roofing. I am going to try mirrored card at the ends of the canopies on the back scene. Not certain how well it will work.
  17. Starting o platforms and subways, N.B. buildings at the back aren't fully in place, need to see how platform canopy pans out. Cheers Ian B
  18. View from the bridge down the (Grand) Surrey Canal.
  19. Hi Guys, Thanks for the interest, here are some general shots, please bear in mind it's a million miles from being finished. Road to the left is domestic coal yard. Short centre road is exchange for Corral wharfe Road to right emu lay over. Bitsa station extreme left end and will have o'all roof Cheers!
  20. Excelsior Hotel (Weekly and daily rates). It's a dive! Next, gable end of E.L.L. Deptford Town station building
  21. Looking forward to more details!
