Out of the ones I have only one has the slightest of wobbles but no where near as bad as your one has. I would return it and see if they have a replacement. Hopefully there is only a few rouge ones out there and the majority run well as I am really pleased with mine. Baz

Quick question has anyone figured out a way of fitting a stay alive to the sound fitted ones. I have 2 Hunslet's now, one factory fitted and one I fitted with a sound chip from Digitrains I managed to fit a stay alive in the one I fitted sound to no problem. They both run really great but the factory fitted one would definitely benefit with a stay alive. As mentioned there is no solder pads on the Next18 chip but is it possible to fit a stay alive to the wires from the pick ups before the pcb board . Regards Baz

Class 37, by Accurascale

If Accurascale carry on with more new announcements I can see me having more Grey and Yellow boxes to find homes for than my normal Blue ones and Red ones. -
My 2 arrived today 97652 in pristine yellow from Model Rail And Weathered Blue PWM 654 from Kernow Both are on the rolling road running at medium speed and straight out of the box are superb. really pleased with them, was a bit worried about these when reading other posts with the problem others were having. I suppose its luck of the draw when these are shipped out. There is however a very very slight wobble on the blue one but seams to be getting better the more its run. The Yellow one from Model Rail is definitely the better one of the 2. They both however have the bodies raised from the running plate with the visible gap same as everyone else have reported. Just thought I would mention on here that all mine have been fine so far, so if anyone is considering getting one there is a good chance that it will run fine. Baz

I must have no resolve whatsoever, told myself I do not need any more loco's Just ordered the Dutch one and a Blue one through Derails. Then thought I would try the split payment feature from Accurascale and found out it does work quite well as now seam to of ordered the 2 green ones. I do have a soft spot for the 37's -
Yes I will do Given body a quick clean with Revell thinners and the weathering comes off with very little effort it leaves a dirt deposit around the nooks and crevices and looks really good. I will add a little bit touch up using powders and washes and see how it comes out.

Well I received my yellow one from Kernow today 97653 I put it on the rolling road and it ran like silk in both directions for an hour or so. I decided to order a Blue one from Kernow and a clean yellow one from Model Rail. I had a quick read through on here and noticed the that people had a problem with the body not clipped on to the running plate and a visible gap. Just checked mine and sure enough i have the gap as well. I was a bit dismayed about others having trouble removing the body and wished I hadn't ordered the other 2 . Thought I would try removing the body via the 2 front screws and the body popped off no problem very easy. I must be one of the lucky ones no glue what so ever. I will fettle the running plate down so the body is more of a snug fit after I have ordered and fitted a sound decoder. All in all I am happy with the one I have, the weathering is a little over done on the bonnet but I am sure with a cotton bud dipped in White spirit most of it will come off. Regards Baz

Mine arrived from Rails on Friday so got it out of the box today to give it a go on the rolling road. It has the same issue also one of the wheels is loose on the axel spline and just turns on its own so I will have to send it back. Don't think I can fix it. Baz

I tried not to buy anymore after buying the first batch of castle cement ones but ended up buying all of the second rake including the original livered ones. Then I get the email for a single one from Rails I just cant help myself. Haven't even got a layout set up to run them on, not even sure I have a Locomotive strong enough to pull 46 of these anyway. It must be the grey and yellow boxes I am addicted to.😔

Accurascale Class 55 Deltic - 4mm scale
bazil31 replied to Andy Y's topic in Accurascale / Irish Railway Models
I find the instalments great its refreshing that a manufacturer can do this wish others would follow suit. I have however bought all my recent Accurascale items with paypal over 3 months It was good as you did not have to pay all of the money up front but when it was paid off after 3 months it was nice to know that when they were due for despatch you didn't suddenly have to find all the money. I'm interested in getting some Cavalex 56's but unable to do it this way which is a shame. -
Well my Koyli arrived today from Locomotion and all I can say is wow. What a great looking Loco and all its bits present and correct with no loose bits in the box. Thanks to Locomotion for getting these sent out, truly is a great model. Thank you very much to Tom for chasing this up what great service. Baz

Still waiting for my Koyli from Locomotion looks really nice model. Bit worried now as had no email or dispatch confirmation but they are probably very busy dispatching locos and I have ordered late so will probably be well down the list. I saw them at the Bristol show back in April and paid for it then and there had to write my details down just hope they have not gone astray. Rang Locomotion yesterday and was told that someone would ring me back but no one did. Not worried when it gets here just don't want to miss out. Sent an email off this morning so hopefully fingers crossed it will end up being sent to me.

My last Deltic Pinza is on its way and that was ordered in April so agree they must be near the end of despatching them all. A well earned rest for all at Accurascale this weekend hopefully Fair play in getting these posted out in such a quick time. -

I've also had a notification for Nimbus to be delivered hopefully tomorrow. I am getting raised eyebrows and funny looks at the number of dark grey boxes with yellow writing on appearing now. At least its a change from the blue or red ones. -

Bit awkward in a 32t Grab lorry but I didn't do too bad most of the load stayed on going around the roundabout. -

Very lucky today popped home from work for a few minutes Just heading back when I saw a DHL van coming in the opposite direction span around and sure enough he had pulled up outside my house with 4 Deltics. Good job as no one was home. It looked quite empty in the back of his Mercedes Sprinter once he took them out and I swear the van gave a sigh after, it definitely looked higher on the springs when he left.😄 -

Well you do have a point but will defo keep the wife she can keep me in check with my spending. Just waiting for last child to leave so that I can have a layout in the bedroom. Fed up of staring at boxes of stock with no where to run them.
