  1. Just to clarify, Class 3 “invalid carriages”as they are officially classed (the 8 mph type of mobility scooter) do require registration but do not require insurance, although it is recommended.
  2. Presently visiting Son (the Doctor) I asked him the question and like all doctors he was quite in non committal but he basically said the test is looking virus not blood so should be fine……he hasn’t heard of a reason not to take the test because of specks of blood.
  3. Oddly at the beginning of 2021 in one of the advanced news releases of the Dapol Prairie the slide bars appeared to be perfectly straight.
  4. It did indeed, and there was no mention of the “profits” going to a good cause, had I known I might have changed my verdict from profiteering to taking advantage of the situation.
  5. HoHoHo…..Merry Christmas Have all sets on pre-order but……probably too late or too difficult but, any chance at all the passenger sliding door might be made to slide, would be great for “bus stop” poses with passenger queues?
  6. We do….just didn’t want to seem boastful
  7. I thought it was a Cat Burglar……
  8. No reason at all we have to buy them, it was just the slight “off” tone of the post. Ho Ho Ho John
  9. HST First class seat recline, or are at least adjustable……which was a major plus for me.
  10. Call it what it is…….profiteering.
  11. True, Mrs BB has RA and can be in severe pain some days which is why we always book first class seats, she picked up our grand daughter up at Paddington last Thursday and went 800 there and back, a almost nine hour total journey (with just less than an hour between trains) she said the seats in the train were fine, so maybe the first seats in the 800 First have changed? Or your friend is substantially less “bulky” than we are……that makes a difference to cushion comfort
  12. Oh dear, that’s ruined Andy’s Christmas
  13. Or furniture, mostly made from particle board, or etc etc
  14. They are what got us into garden railways, I worked regularly in Germany and Belgium and always bought the kids Playmobil for a “return home present” when it was hardly known about here, I bought my kids their first Playmobil trains set back in the 80’s they (we) loved it so much we started building a proper LGB garden railway, sold most of it now as we moved and now we just have two Stainz starter sets left for Christmas tree duties. Beauty of Playmobil/LGB is take the mechanism out (easy couple of screws) and stick them in the dishwasher…..come out like new
  15. And………breath………..Christmas soon Andy
  16. TBH I wouldn’t want to use ATF as at work when working with any lubrication oil gloves were required as it could over time cause eczema, I know we wouldn’t use much but it does smell ‘orrible as well and having a red dye could after time tint ballast.
  17. On this subject……probably not
  18. Clive Trickey’s as well? They were the 850 tuning bibles back then.
  19. According to Richard Longman at the time during tuning at the rolling road he used he found that by splitting (basically cutting through half of one of the choke tubes and sealing jets off) one choke tube of each 40DCOE lined up perfectly with the inlet ports rather than if one carb was used the fuel mixture had to negotiate the “swan neck” inlet manifold, simple as that really.
  20. We had them on our Elf Special Saloon, twin split 40s, Longman inclined valve head, super sprint cam etc etc, ours had to be under 1300 of course
  21. The FAA wouldn’t know Wilber Wright’s string bag from a 737-800…… Now the CAA those I would trust
