  1. Thats the bit I don't get - if you aren't happy / feel safe then stay away - simples.
  2. Thats not what I said or meant - what I pointed out was in other some countries (our friends down below for example) their "notes of caution" are the army, or arrest for complaining or ignoring the Big Brother mandate, hardly a "note of caution" - more a "DO IT OR ELSE" - you may agree with that approach of course.
  3. Did you forget what you posted ? you generalised into other countries and yet drop back to talk about HMG when challenged.
  4. Appropriate notes of caution = the army ? or arrest everyone ? If - after all this time - people can't make their own decisions about their own risk factors then they really need to give their heads a wobble.
  5. I skipped a couple of days of repeats, in the meantime 37423 was having traction motor problems and was replaced by 37407 (423 was dragged off to Crewe), 407 was paired with 424 so forming a nice large logo pair. Eccles Road 06/10/2021 (Wednesday) 37407, Blackpool Tower, and 37424/37558, Avro Vulcan XH558, on 3S01, 09:22, Stowmarket D.G.L. - Stowmarket D.G.L. (17:41) - RHTT
  6. Tivetshall 03/10/2021 (Sunday) 37422, Victorious, and 37069 on 3S01, 10:14, Stowmarket D.G.L. - Stowmarket D.G.L. (18:25) - RHTT
  7. During a well planned shopping trip .. "Just 5 minutes dear, 45 minutes later I return to the car" Diss 02/10/2021 (Saturday) 37059 and 37425, Sir Robert McAlpine/Concrete Bob, on 3S01, 09:18, Stowmarket D.G.L. - Stowmarket D.G.L. (18:40) - RHTT On Saturdays the Southern (from Stowmarket) RHTT runs via Bury St Edmunds and Ely to Norwich and then back again via the same route, 3S01 also still runs via Ely and Bury to Stowmarket, so there are 2 RHTTs around on Saturday afternoon, they should pass around Eccles Road but I've only managed this once in all the years I've been after them - however, in any case it still means 4 x different 37s in a short time through Eccles and 3S60 returns so a second bite of the cherry on that run too. 3S01 again, 37425 has the bonus "station ephemera" detailing pack added hence the extended wing mirror 3S60 made it's first appearance, unfortunately it was running late so the 4 x 37 pass shot was out - the weather was grim by this time as well. 37422, Victorious, and 37069 on 3S60, 08:37, Stowmarket D.G.L. - Stowmarket D.G.L. (20:02) - RHTT Passing a pair of RRVs sitting in the old yard With the poor weather the light was grim for the return
  8. I then left a day - the trains repeat and although we are lucky to have 37s on them, they still repeat ! Great Moulton 30/09/2021 (Thursday) 37422, Victorious, and 37069 on 6Z85, 08:27, Stowmarket D.G.L. - Dereham U.K.F. (17:41) - RHTT 3S01 passes Eccles Road later in the day And the return of the maintenance set Tivetshall 37069 and 37422, Victorious, on 6Z86, 15:14, Dereham U.K.F. - Stowmarket D.G.L. (17:31) - RHTT set after maintenance

  11. But all those who ask for assistance expect to get the said expertise / help for free ...
  12. I really dig Ceratosuchops inferodios

  13. The money will be no doubt spent and something will happen, whether that proves to be of any real use to Birkenhead is yet to be seen - it also puts the final nail in the coffin for any (admittedly slim) chance of rail served freight operations.
  14. The Stowmarket based 37 hauled RHTT started on Monday 20th September in shake down mode - ie testing - the first run went South but the second day saw testing commence North of Stowmarket, up to Cromer, back to Yarmouth via Norwich then back to Stowmarket via Thetford, Ely and Bury St Edmunds - this is the normal route of 3S01, the Northern RHTT Gissing 21/09/2021 (Tuesday) 37422, Victorious, and 37059 on 3S01, 09:22, Stowmarket D.G.L. - Stowmarket D.G.L. (17:41) - RHTT shakedown run Later passing Eccles Road The same two 37s worked the train the next day Great Moulton 22/09/2021 (Wednesday) 37422, Victorious, and 37059 on 3S01, 09:22, Stowmarket D.G.L. - Stowmarket D.G.L. (17:41) - RHTT shakedown run, 642050 and 642036 And again, passing Eccles Road Eccles Road 22/09/2021 (Wednesday) 37422, Victorious, and 37059 on 3S01, 09:22, Stowmarket D.G.L. - Stowmarket D.G.L. (17:41) - RHTT shakedown run Thursday 23/09/2021 saw a change of locos (and wagons) Tivetshall 23/09/2021 (Thursday) 37422, Victorious, and 37423, Spirit of the Lakes, on 3S01, 09:22, Stowmarket D.G.L. - Stowmarket D.G.L. (17:41) - RHTT shakedown run Eccles Road 23/09/2021 (Thursday) 37423, Spirit of the Lakes, and 37422, Victorious, on 3S01, 09:22, Stowmarket D.G.L. - Stowmarket D.G.L. (17:41) - RHTT shakedown run The same locos worked on Friday 24/09/2021 so I left them - that saw the end of the weeks shakedowns.
  15. The lever on the left at normal, looks to be No.6 and is possibly green for a distant signal. There is a lever, reversed, which is part black, part red(?) which looks weird as it's not half and half and there'a also a lever to the left of the Bobby, which has had the catch handle removed, meaning it's out of use, either temporarily or permanently, this *could* be associated with the connection to the Harpenden line The SRS diagrams are quite late so it's difficult to match the diagram to the levers in the photo and - and I understand why - the lever numbers are not clear on the SRS view. I'm not 100% convinced it's Boxmoor at this stage.
  16. As I've already mentioned the "branch" was severed around 1916, and even before that was little more than a through siding. I wonder if the number of special bell codes was simply too many for the standard modified codes so the describers were provided.
  17. To make sure he doesn't get lost en route he's got a CatNav fitted
  18. Which levers / colours (in the photo) do you think were changed after 1934 ? Boxmoor was an early box and remained so until abolition in July 1964 when Watford Junction took control of the area. There are a lot of train describers (TDs) for such a small box - Boxmoor - which is what M.H. says, but maybe routing information was passed between boxes. The line to Harpenden was little more than a siding and was severed around 1916 so even when in use it would not merit TDs @Trog - can you read any of the lever numbers on the original ? 19. Of course none of the countries we colonised benefited from any of our knowledge, but hey, let's just look at the negatives, and of course they were all perfect before we arrived. The MSM caused the fuel run, the BBC in particular had a headlining story about "Petrol Shortages" which eventually admitted in a few garages, anyone who believes the MSM headlines would be in their car and off to the pumps before they got to the factual part.
  20. So the MSM run a story about petrol shortages but tell people not to panic and ... guess what ? - massive queues at Sainsburys this morning for fuel, maybe not headlining with "FUEL SHORTAGES" and then in smaller print / later in the report saying "at some places" - irresponsible twots. Not a lot of choices around here so if people get nervous and want to fill up then chaos ensues at the few petrol stations we have.
  21. When you think your toys have gone beserk, it's an illusion you cannot shirk

  22. Don't think it matters, they tie my noises to my test results I submitted on Sunday, haven't had the results yet but they should be negative. I had to record a sentence, which was formed to force the pronunciation of "ooh" and "ahh" sounds, then I had to make some noises as if I was trying to get my breath to show on a window "ah" and finally some forced coughs, all the recordings are submitted for analysis. Nothing onerous and if it helps the causes then thats all right by me.
