Hi this is to introduce my self to fellow modellers alike.
My name is Raymond Trew. I currently live in West Sussex. I am a member of the N-gauge society .I model around the scale of 2mm ish
vehicles,ships, planes and railways.
I have been modelling for a number of years and visit railway shows around the South.
I was born in Wallsend Northumberland. in 1951 . My Grandparents lived and worked at Backworth pit. (hence my interest in Backworth pit). I have lived in numerous parts of the world as my father served
in the R.A.F. On the occupation side I have mostly worked in the aviation industry for over 40 years finally retireing as a Senior Flight Despatcher ,with one of the major Handling agents at Gatwick.
During my time of occupation which started with piston airliners going on to turbioprop then finaly jet aircraft.
My other hobbies were Scuba diving and rebuilding full scale light aircraft which were then flown by our group.
If you wish to contact me please do so at trewisin@gmail.com
Regards.Ray

I'm finding simple things difficult lol. I have managed to carry out a control change on a signal and thats about it. It did involve five track circuits and three lots of point detection but was succesful all the same. (OO gauge, steering clear of the bigger stuff for a bit)

I think i have just had an urge to do some modelling.

I booked xmas off so loads of modelling time. Was feeling a bit down that it was nearing the time to return to work. Feeling down turned to feeling ill. One positive test later.

POPPY APPEAL
Due to current circumstances, the British Legion poppy appeal is having difficulty this year, as it's not always possible to have the normal stands and personal collections. So keep an eye out (SWMBO ran into one stand at Cobham Services en route to Heathrow), or think of alternative ways to donate. My youngest daughter's school in Dover is selling metal poppy badges, for example.
