      Hi Andi,

35 years today I was divorced from Mrs M Mk1. The one that had knickers that were like the lift in the NatWest Tower. So I wasn't interested in what sir bob the untalented was up to.

Was that the one where my mate Steve from Modern English was the best man?

  3. A little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing. Add a sprinkling of ignorance and the determination that only you know what is the truth and it becomes lethal.

  11. How am I meant to do any modelling with a cat asleep on my shoulder?

  12. I really wish Hornby would make their locos with the LEDs wired common positive.

      Huw Griffiths

Anyone could be forgiven for imagining that you might be thinking of "chipping" the things ... .

Seriously though, if they were to do this, it would make life a lot easier - especially for models with white and red lights in the same place - such as a number of multiple units (not just UK outline, either).

  13. Laptops... Grrrrrrr

  16. Quite satisfying to rewire most of a three level baseboard and it all work perfectly when tested!

    1. Huw Griffiths

      Huw Griffiths

Sounds like my sort of enjoyment.

First comes the fun part - the wiring.

Then comes the satisfying part - finding it all works.

Finally comes what some people might call "bragging rights" - the sense of achievement - nobody can take that away.

Ever get the impression I used to work in a university?

Ah! a diagram 434 which in the old , pre topsy turvy days, diagram book was called a DTC. See start to put things on a computer and mistakes happen.
