  1. It's been really nice and sunny over here as well. Feeling better now as well, though still exhausted. Question for you – is there any reason why I shouldn't add a historic EMU to my fleet? I do think it'd make for a nice change from locos, historic or otherwise!
  2. Been one of those days so far, thankfully with some time in between to talk to the colleagues in order to remain earthed. I do feel like it could be migraine time, though, so I'll try to take things easy for the rest of the day.
  3. Morning... Same old story – tired. More later, I think.
  4. Oh dear, DD, that sure is a bummer... Fingers crossed for your friend that it might not come to the worst.
  5. I'd most like to sign up at that uni which has "Ex astris scientia" as its motto - if it did exist. Alas...
  6. Morning all... Cold and dark still, and tired – so I'll just say, enjoy your day... Later!
  7. Morning all... Late to bed last night, so still drowsy. Weather forecast mentions a mix of sun and clouds, though as long as it stays dry and mostly light, I don't mind. Cheers everyone!
  8. I'm quite speechless about what's unfolding outside as I'm typing this: Sunshine and close to 13°C. Unbelievable...
  9. Morning all... Still fighting off sleep, so not able to say all that much at this time. Enjoy your day, everyone!
  10. Morning all... Needed to catch up with some sleep I missed the night before, but feeling better now. Still fairly dull outside, but expected to turn increasingly sunny over the weekend. Finally, I should add! Have a good one...
  11. Morning all... Queasy stomach during the night, so slept in a bit longer and will limit myself to tea rather than coffee for the moment. I particularly like Earl Grey, I should say. Have a good one, everyone...
  12. I take it you're writing the sequel to a certain, erm, novel then?
  13. That is one weird little automobile. I seem to remember this SNCF logo... http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100520114648/logopedia/images/6/62/SNCF_logo_old.svg ...is colloquially known as the "Escargot" logo, too.
  14. Morning all... Dull and nippy outside and it doesn't look likely that what the weather service has declared the dullest winter in 42 years is coming to an end. Good to hear you're back safe and sound, Tony! Happy Hump Day to you all!
  15. I'm sure you'd have received some fairly wrathful e-mails or PMs in that case!
  16. Taken a few moments before the previous image from further up the ramp:
  17. Thanks, guys! It would seem a total of six new class 442 EMUs have arrived at Frankfurt during the weekend. Three were stood in a siding about an hour ago, and one outside the depot: ...these here having been 442 282, 285 and 289.
  18. Ah... Does it show a "like" for your post now?
  19. Can't hit the "Like" button on the mobile forum version, so I'll just write it out for now! I'm quite pleased with my courses today as on other occasions, I perceived the same groups as fairly badly behaved.
  20. Morning. Having coffee and breakfast, then off to work... Enjoy your day!
  21. Happy birthday, Robert! Sorry I'm posting only now as I felt fairly off the track after work... There appears to have been an oil spill in our street in the afternoon – fire brigade cordoned off a good length of it, then to first put out binder and later clean everything up with what looked like a specialised road sweeper. And the rabbits are feeling comfortable, as it would seem:
  22. Morning. Sleepy still, so I'll just say, have a good day...
  23. Morning all... Calm outside and fairly chilly still, though I understand temperatures are expected to rise to about 7°C by the middle of the week. I think reading up on some stuff will be on the list for today.
  24. Headache beginning on this end, so I have relocated to the sofa and might head to bed early, as a matter of fact... I seem to remember my uncle had one of these! There's a photo of him in the car somewhere in our albums, but I'd have to look. If I were to go for a classic car, I think it would be a W126 series Mercedes S-class. I don't much like the styling on most current Mercs, BMWs or Audis, though – too aggressive for my taste.
  25. I had a similar problem at my opthalmologist's a few weeks ago. Even though I clearly called within their office hours, each of the numerous calls I made within an hour was immediately met by the busy tone. When Mum told me she was going there for an appointment of her own, I thus asked her to make an appointment for me. Otherwise, I would have tried it from a different line to see whether this might have been an isolated problem of some sorts.
