      Strangely, the sharper the blade the safer they seem to be in use.

       

  3. The only thing close to a gadget I have is a length of wire bent with a rounded arrow at one end to help me couple the 3 link couplings on my 16mm scale stock.

  11. It's sad that the crane was on display until the big wheel was put up, since then it's been overlooked at least it's undercover now. Hopefully it can receive the TLC it needs soon

  16. Recovering from the near heart attack I had when I soaked my laptop, fortunately both me and it have just about survived

  22. My old laptop died the day after I finished my dissertation, it had a flair for timing it would seem.

      I've had:

      - one external hard drive die three days before all my work was due in;

      -One laptop die the week after my dissertation was submitted, and;

      -One laptop die *after* making a digital submission but *before* making the hardcopy submission of the same work, which needed to be handed in with the receipt of submission of the digital copy which was lost when the laptop went bang....
