  1. There are kits available of such cranes... http://www.makeyourmarkmodels.com Nothing a bit of modelling won't fix! Cheers
  2. Hi Kevin, How are things going down at Trethosa? Nice to see 50039 complete, I'm looking forward to seeing how 37672 goes as I'm doing the same loco but in Railfreight red stripe livery. It made sense to model this loco as I already had the plates from the Kernow model and I was planning on starting on it over this weekend but I've had to get the kitchen back in order following a big leak we had, so instead of relaxing and modelling I'm on my hands and knees laying a new floor! Will look out for an update with how you get on. Cheers, Wayne (fellow china clay works owner)
  3. I've seen the effect of the transfers shown on the power car on a model before, my opinion would be a reaction with the varnish? 37066 does look nice, I've had my eye on 37013 as a 'white striper' as it was noted as working an MOD train in South Wales. I have to say though it's interesting that a modeller capable of good standards like Andrew would send something on to someone else to have one done? Cheers

  6. Good evening, Been a bit quiet with this one but that was down to having a leak to sort out at home and the aftermath that came with it, however... With a potential show in the offing (any news Paul Rolley? I've heard nothing so far!) thoughts are turning to bolstering the class 37 fleet for Trevanna. So far I only have 37670 which is fine for such a small layout but it can get a bit tedious seeing and driving the same loco, there is 50014 but that isn't quite accurate for working in Cornwall as it needs a Laira black roof! So in order to rectify this (and the fact that I wanted a 'namer' for the layout) I'm going for 37672 Freight Transport Association. The base model will be one of the Kernow limited edition runs of the same loco but in RFD livery. Mine is being backdated to Railfreight grey and in the process will have the grilles changed as they're incorrect for this loco, even though Bachmann had the correct style when they did 672 in Transrail livery. The photo below shows the model as it stands. More soon. Cheers, Wayne
  7. Having not had time before it's first show with the Layout in January last year and with no bookings so far this year 37670 finally re-visits the workbench for some remedial work along with some extra detail and a little weathering to be added. Here it is before making a start. Cheers
  8. I think the fitting arrangement of ploughs was fairly standard for most, except in the case of class 33s. I am led to believe the outer ploughs were attached to the bogie frames, however I've not looked into due to not needing to model any. Cheers
  9. Oh dear, It's all sent to try us. Can't say I've applied wrong branding myself as I always back check loco research but there was a time I wasn't happy with some weathering, proceeded to take it off and accidentally rubbed through the paint - needless to say a full repaint was required!
  10. I think the shorter loads are just wagons returning to traffic at Lindsey after repair? Cheers
  11. Hello sir, Nice to see the retrospective look back at Mutton. I was disappointed to have to pull out of our show as it would have been nice to see up and running. Will look forward to seeing what you come up with next. Wayne
  12. That will be 37075, it still retained spilt headcodes at the opposite end.
  13. Hi Kevin, looks good so far. It's making me want to do similar to my 50 for Trevanna Dries. How do you find the acrylics? I've not used them yet but I'm tempted to give them a try. cheers
  14. Hi Brian, Thanks for posting up some pictures, it does indeed look a busy day with a lot of visitors and I hope your daughter managed to keep everyone in line! I see the great Mr Masterman made a video which I've just seen and it can be found here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WeTbAXSEuZk. Apologies once again that myself and Tunnock Yard weren't able to make it, but having had a really bad flu for the last three weeks stopped me from getting things ready to show at least in WIP form. Still I hope everyone had a great day! Cheers
  15. Hope the show went well today gents, sorry I was unable to make it. I'll look forward to any pictures. Cheers
  16. Well, the point building has caused a couple of issues so there's nothing new worth showing for the moment sorry but as soon as something is worth updating, I'll post it up. Thanks for checking back in though, it's appreciated.
  17. Hi Dave, They're a good bunch of lads really... Hopefully one day they'll see the light. Cheers, Wayne
  18. Haha!... Thanks guys, it's nice to know that I've created at least some memories with my layout. Looks nice a nice line up as well. Cheers, Wayne (who has also been reading his own publicity)
  19. Just finished reading through this thread, Looks a very interesting project and a nice approach compared to other depot which look a bit 'samey'... Looking forward to the next update. Cheers Wayne
  20. Really good thread this, thoroughly enjoying it. Out of interest, what was the explosive from Cookes used for and what happened when it stopped running as the works seemed to have closed quite quickly from what I've heard. Cheers
  21. Not normally a buyer of BRM but I picked this one up to read while on a journey to visit some people for Christmas. Nice little article on Stylson Park, right up my street being a sectorisation era modeller. Would like to see more of this layout. Not tried the glasses or seen the DVD yet though.
  22. Hi Peter, Just been catching up over the last few pages, sorry if I've missed it but who makes the Bedford 4 ton truck kit, is it the airfix one? Cheers Wayne
  23. Hi Will, Some nice loco projects on here, it's been quite a while since I did a loco with all the wagon building going on. Have you any interesting wagon projects that you're working on to go with all these locos? Cheers Wayne :Edited to change a typo not spotted earlier.
