From what I can gather from looking at all of the Hornby spares suppliers sites, no spares seem to be available for anything after the P2 release or thereabouts......
The X9909 Railroad 9F gears are listed at Lendons and as being in stock.
May be the same as the normal 9F....worth checking the service sheets on the Hornby site.
Lendons of Cardiff site also has the service sheets as well as the spares they have in stock listed.
Pretty in pink by the look of that link.
Remember someone else who once had fluffy seat covers like that in her Capri......open the doors and they expanded to meet you!
You do indeed!
First thing you notice underneath are screws, and springs are not glued in the way either!
Also the width between the tender outside frames which looks good for EM too...
And good to see you again Tony.
Buying the machine is one thing, if it is indeed fit for further use. What you cannot buy is the experience/expertise to use it safely.
New moulds are not as expensive as you suggest
I believe either last year or the year before the Scalefour Society did sell 25 pre converted Panniers or Jintys and the year prior to that it was a similar number of Class 25 diesels. This was at their annual Scaleforum show.
I believe they sold like the proverbial hot cakes! But, it would have required some poor soul to do all those conversions in the first place....
Yes, Bill Bedford does, or did do one. Have a look at this thread, the link to Bill is in there,

One of the aims of AIMREC as I understand it is to try and save such gems for the future.
