I know in the US the two holer were often used in snowy areas, but in this country its just showing off.
Ive seen discussions of more than 2 holer 's in the US too.
Good luck with the O/14 layout.
NB: if the need for these stirrers sees you in said coffee House far too often for comfort a bag of 500 or 1000 can be had on 'the bay' for around about a fiver.

Thanks Mikkel, roofing has been completed and awaiting a good paint/stain/weathering and its first occupant!
-
Ha, close up shots always spot something dont they, they'll be suitably fettled before first use!
Thanks.

Thanks, I was waiting for that.
There's a handy hole in the base that I can get a drill through, but I'm waiting on a sitting figure to see if I need to add a hole or not. As this is due to be an occupied room.

I'm glad that show was a success Andy. Here's to next year.

What cad/art software have you used to design that image?

That's a pretty decent image of the 60 mate!

That looks just like the few I bought recently, they are very good and bits don't move between compartments, but your right they don't come cheaply any more do they!

Or one that works long hours...
For P4 would advise anything tighter, just for running in that is? My garage is only 7'6 wide, and is the widest available space in my small dwelling.

Painting the fascia a similar colour to the foreground of layout is a way to go. As can be seen here on this layout by the X street gang. German US modellers. http://www.modelrailroadforums.com/forum/showpost.php?p=242473&postcount=5 These photos are taken from a European US show and only 1 of them has a black fascia.

I've got a US H0 layout I'd be happy to bring. I'm only 10 min down the road in Lichfield. Front operated so will go up against a wall nicely. scenic 5'x20" with spur fiddleyard 3' extra length. CSX Miami based.

Looking good Jon,
There's always a catch when you find the prototype you want to model and realise it makes a lot more work than you had intended, I get that a lot!
Have you re-wheeled her yet? what wheels are you using because I know that these can be a pain because of the Bachmann middle axle, I know JSW uses a smaller centre wheel as its been noted that straight conversions like being in the ballast more than being on the rails. ( A reason I'm happy with P4'ing Vi duffs )

A detailed SD40-2 would be good to see hint hint...

Interesting project Matt.
The Lima 87 body always looked pretty good to me apart from just one issue - the windscreen frames. I can't put my finger on whether they are the wrong dimensions, or whether they stand a little too proud, but summat just doesn't do it for me.
i wonder if anyone has checked them with a 1:1 class 87.
Great stuff though Matt and good that someone remembers that 87s shifted a lot of freight at night. 4S50 Dudley-Gushetfaulds was booked an 86/0 and an 87, as was the return 4M51. these locos came off Down Euston-Wolverhamptons after they'd deposited their stocks at Oxley, both coming separately light to Bescot where we multied them - 87 on the inside and 86 on the front.
The return 4M51 was just the same. We split them and sent them both to Oxley for Up Londons.
What did the Dudley legs Phil?

Great Video. Could use a few EMUs for my taste, a few more 304s 310s would suit it a treat.

Hi Rich
I was hoping someone would try this, I'd seen Brians Bracthell windows a while ago and I'm getting some of his vi37s windows at Stafford to try out so I'll pop by and have a look at the 150, I'm still waiting on the T4U ltd ed so there's plenty of time for you to finish yours and me to copy hehe.

What do you plan on using to replace the marker lights with as I have 1 missing on one of mine?

The sprue legs make great pig iron loads with a little brush over with a file and a splash of paint.
I don't know about the 7mil products but I always prefer to take them off the sprues and attach them to the rail 1 by 1 in 4mil.

Personally James, I think the look you have on the wallpaper layout looks more than acceptable comparing it with the fotopic shots, the platforms do look short if your looking purely from google earth.
I can't tell from the map but doesn't the platform run under the bridge at that end or stop short?
Lets hope your geometry teacher doesn't read about your 'blue rectangle' either.
