Sheffield council tenants change of conditions have come through, what a bunch of idiots. Nowhere do they mention how to pay cash for your rent, they want it direct debit. Quick google shows the law says "as long as you have tried to pay with legal tender, you cannot be sued for monies owed". Chas is legal tender, so if they stop taking cash, doesn't that make them trying to have direct debit only illegal?

has just seen on local BBC TV news that some looney got off the night sleepers at Totnes and climbed aboard the loco by the rear door. All sorted by a BTP arrest on arrival at Plymouth. All securing procedures (switching off the engine) by the driver before investigating were done.

Yay used the layout as intended for the first time tonight. A pair of 20's collected 20 MGR hoppers from the exchange sidings and ran on the inner circuit for a while then took the reverse loop and ran round the outer. The whole lot put back where it started by setting back over the crossover and hauled back into the exchange sidings. Progress.
