  1. They look like bits of either pipework or rodding. So could be from under the loco boiler or under the cab.
  2. Unlike most Fox ex-GWR Etched Plates, 9440's doesn't come with a smoke box number plate - I had to get creative with decals
  3. Manor's ran with the same tenders (for the most part) as the Mogul's - so Dapol only had to tool up the engine. It means you can spend lots of money on DCC Decoders and sound chips for the Manor
  4. It's running with the tender as well
  5. Still no coupling hook on the tender though. Looks like it could be a kal-if-fee, as to who gets their Manor to the market place first..
  6. My build of the Moebius Models 1/350th Scale USS Franklin NX-326 from Star Trek Beyond. Aftermarket: Aztec Dummy Masking Set Paints & Primers: Mr Surfacing Primer, Vallejo Model Air & Tamiya Acrylics, Vallejo Metal Color & MRP Have Glass Varnish. Weathering: Flory Washes (Dark Dirt & Brown) & a HB Pencil. Box and contents: The Build. Goes together quite well, just plan your build with regards to painting. Glazing is fun - not! The vinyl mask set arrives from across the pond.. A capture from the film for reference purposes.. In primer.. The base Adding some colour and more masking. Decalling up and final assembly Weathering Final Reveal Overall it was a straight forward build and I 'm pleased with the results - it was my first Starship in over 25 years. Till next time James
  7. Part 4 (yep there's a part 4): Another Armour and Kit Update. I finished the Sturmtiger - camo was a right pain.. And something much smaller from Tamiya's 1/48th Scale Military Miniature Series: Universal (Bren Gun) Carrier Mk.II. Currently on the go: Hobby Bosses 1/48th Scale KV-1, certainly not shake n bake! And a few more kits for the stash (and forth coming builds) and in age of initial release too! 1961 1976 2006 2021 And a pair of single blade cutters to try And that is definitely it for now..
  8. Part 3: the Workshop Update.. It's nearly there, I just need a decent warm spell to connect up the electrics now and do some more wood work.. And after nearly 4 months after being ordered the spray booth arrived (paid for by ANTB Members) and plumbed in yesterday.. Yes I was sitting on the roof my other shed drilling a four inch hole in the side of the shed!
  9. Oops forgot to post part two.. Railway commissions have been taking up most of my time - though if the weather has been good I've been busy on the Workshop. First up the Railway stuff, mostly wagons, a few coaches and a Loco.. P4 Rolling Stock - just correcting numbering errors.. A rake of Cambrian Kits Starfish and removable ballast loads (OO Gauge).. Currently still in works, a rake of Airfix Centenary's.. And a Bullied..
  10. I think it's officially usurped the Double Chimney's on Former GWR engines for Robin, the Bunker seams are a Carbuncles...
  11. Ah yes the 16xx bunker and the trenches, appalling fit and QC - not the usual thing you expect when Rapido have produced RTR for other companies. After all Bachmann have produced and tooled absolutely superb Pannier with no ungodly trenches on the bunker - the 94xx, @gwrrob's is now waiting it's turn in the works (so I've been able to see & handle one in the flesh).
  12. His one does look like the typical Friday afternoon special from a certain factory that Hornby have used. Green is always a subjective colour as it can look different from one person to another. There's nothing wrong with adding a clear coat, you just need to know what you're doing - I certainly wouldn't use a gloss clear coat as it would look toy like. Thanks, having seen Sam's Trains example, I was suspecting Refined.
  13. What's the Factory Code on the Box?
  14. Unfortunately photography can be very cruel to models, but once you know that seam is there - it's going to bug you. I think the grumbling it's making on the video will subside after some decent running in.
  15. That would be Rebel Alliance & New Republic in terms of the X- Wings & Empire & First Order for the Tie Fighters
  16. Has anyone put that seam under a microscope - the wealth of detail is amazing, it looks just like the trench on the Death Star Just missing a certain X-Wing and a trio of Tie Fighters
