  3. testing again Hmmm, work PC seems to do this ok, must be the home PC only.
  4. Hi. Recently I have not been able to post replies in any of the forums. I can start a new thread, or at least I could in the 'Test Area'. I wasn't able to start a new thread in the Layouts section a couple of weeks ago. I cannot access my profile area either, the drop down doesn't drop down. Any help would be great. Dave.
  5. Unable to reply in forums but can start new threads. Any ideas gents?

Maybe 'massive leap forward' wasn't the best choice of words. A big step then......

  10. Made a massive leap forward today with my Long Rock Shed layout by getting a full set of track templates glued down to a 15' long roll of brown paper.

  11. Going back to the nickname for the class, I recently heard them described as 'Warskips', which I liked.
  12. How about Penzance? I have seen a few shots of Class 22s on Long Rock shed and stabled in Ponsandane Goods yard but don't know which workings might have brought them there? Possibly the Hayle Wharves propelling move?
  13. Congratultions, huge thanks and a hearty "Well Done!" to Andy, the team, and all the contributors over the last ten years. Happy Birthday RMWeb.

  18. On the WLA website, go to the 'Sales' page. The bottom item "To celebrate the 50th anniversary of D1062.............." is a clicky for a downloadable order form for the model, complete with postal address and payment details. A £50 deposit will secure your pre-order.
  19. I had to sign in to Flickr but then didn't have permission to view the piccie either.
  20. Western Lancer Western Hussar etc.........with 2 'n's
  21. Looks superb Dave. Wizzos Are Go!!!
  22. This is 'normal' with Western Legacy, formerly Dartwest, Publishing. Books are announced and pre-orders are encouraged, then you get your book when its ready, sometimes quickly but ususally after a fairly long wait. Once you know what to expect its not a problem and according to their website the publishers are doing away with pre-ordering from now on and books will only be announced when they're ready and will be sold on a first-come-first-served basis. Ther Class 22 booklet will be followed in due course by a full sized hardback edition in the style of their Class 52 series.
  23. In maroon livery the spelling would have to be the original and incorrect 'Legionaire'. The loco also ran for over a year in blue livery with the nameplates un-corrected.
  24. The pic of D5511 at Fort William is indeed in Volume 1, on P42. It has just arrived from Mallaig and is running round prior to departure for Glasgow, July '58.
  25. Hi Dave. A couple of things stand out for me:- The lower edge of the roof panel above the cab should be horizontal, parallel with the other roof panel edges. All of the slope down to the cab's 'peak' occurs forward of this panel. The horn enclosure looks a little 'flat' at the front making me question the downward slope of the cab roof, maybe not quite steep enough? The curvature on the horn enclosure is also a little too generous as per the front corners of the loco. A much sharper radius can be observed on the real thing. Best of luck in your quest to produce the definitive Western. I've got layout plans which will require several ............... Dave.
