No, that condition has improved since I used the liniment.

We've been inundated with them. 50+ on the feeders most days - lots of young. Tree Sparrows, Redpolls, Goldfinches, Siskins, Blue Tits (not so many), Great Tits, Greenfinches, Robins, Blackbirds, Collared Doves, Jackdaws, Dunnocks etc., etc., are costing me a fortune.

An unexpected offer on holiday. I'm sure she is very nice but I didn't take advantage of the hospitality.

For the first time I used one of these facilities whereby I give them huge sums of money over the 'phone in the expectation of getting the appropriate number of Euros through the post. On this occasion it worked perfectly but it certainly goes against the grain to use the system. Probably gained about 40€ by doing so but not sure it was worth the fretting!

As promised, I visited every main line station in Crete. Here are the pictures:

Just arrived back from Aghios Nic. Prefer it to the other side of the Island and plenty to see (eg resident turtles in the harbour lake). Great hotel - PM me for details. Knossos is just a tourist trap - impossible to tell which is original and the parts that are someones 'impression' in concrete. Be prepared to be met by 'guides' outnumbering the visitors who, for a fee, will make it up as they take you around the site. Inland, the prices for, say, refreshments are a fraction of the resort prices.

A job with perks. Back from a good holiday in Crete. Kept up with the news about the inadequates - two dreadful events shortly after flying from Manchester. It's such a small interconnected world - the youngest girl murdered at Manchester lived a few doors from my cousin in Tarleton and was well known to the family. Such events bring out the best and the worst in us.

Thought for the day: How do I get 60Kgs of luggage into a 40Kg allowance? Will airport security wonder why I'm wearing twenty shirts? Off to Crete on Thursday for a couple of weeks. Must get some sun. After tomorrow will not be on the computer until I get back.
