  1. No. But I would be minded to defend their right to receive it.
  2. There was something called "Hydralastic" suspension or similar. The car raised and lowered as it was turned on. Seemed a silly idea to me but I'm not a motor car so it didn't turn me on.
  3. Useful being a Time Lady. Be able to avoid the headaches.
  4. Yes, but not sheep apparently.
  5. Boycott sometimes talks a lot of sense. Some of the stroke play was a bit amateurish.
  6. As mobile phone reception is practically non existent here, there is amusement to be had in watching folk walking around waving 'phones in the air.
  7. Regret that I know nothing about motorbikes. The nearest I come to them is when they approach around blind bends with their helmets in my lane.
  8. Good to see Stu popping in.
  9. Sorry if picture six gives anyone a sore neck. Don't know how that happened.
  10. Oh lord. Do take care, Bob.
  11. The Council are taking action against negligent dog owners. Our new village Dog Wardens.
  12. If you ever go to Llandudno, have a look at the cycle paths outside Asda Supermarket. Most of the examples in BoD's url apply there.
  13. If fence panels are subject to damage from gales etc., it's worth a small outlay in fencing wire to join them all together. Tools needed: Gloves, wire cutters, staples, hammer to shape the wire around the posts and fix staples. Worth doing top and bottom if you can manage it (or even both sides!). FiL had the problem every year until I fixed the panels for him.
  14. Near here they have recently designated a new cycle path with elaborate signage. It is 50 metres long and crosses immediately next to the front gates of a few houses (watch out children!). It ends at a hump back bridge where cyclists would need to cross a fairly busy two lane road and then re-cross on the other side. More amusing is the extensive cycle path built next to a very busy road at huge cost. There is a telegraph pole right in the middle of it. I'd take a small bet that Europe is involved somewhere.
  15. Thanks for all that. I'm sure you are right. My problem is that my rights are ignored in my cycle comment.
  16. A bit like the cycle races around here then. Roads not closed - just hoards of lycra blocking the right of passage.
  17. Those of a TV watching bent may also notice Auctioneer Parry (Bargain Hunt and Flog It) in the background dressed as a deckchair. He organised the event.
  18. The Cleaner, Kim (or Kym) Richard & Adam with minder Kim, Parry (Bargain Hunt and Flog It Auctioneer), Mayor, Darth I must say I was impressed with the two lads. I've not encountered them before but after some success on a TV Talent Show they have had four successful Albums and their singing shows the hallmarks of proper operatic training. They sang about a car - the Nissan Dormer and other standards.
  19. Just returned from a sunny day spent in the company of a Cleaner, Darth Vader and a couple of pleasant lads whose new album has gone straight to No1.
  20. Get well soon, BoD. Not like you to be crocked up for so long. Thought you would be immune after all that exposure to kids' germs.
  21. Bryan Adams is at Colwyn Bay today. Tickets sold out. Everything he does he does for me. Mini Mix (?) were on yesterday. Probably some advertisement for kitchen utensils.
