  1. I figured that as it wasn't British, it must have originated from another kit manufacturer, but as has been pointed out it is OO scale and not HO as I understand. Stu
  2. Can anybody tell me what the origin of the Knightwing LOCO1 diesel is - I seem to recall it was a German design, so I wondered what it's origins were - I am aware that the Knightwing range has some kits originally sold by other manufacturers such as the coal mine, which I think had it's origins with Heljan? Stu
  3. They were still running these until only a few years ago i believe. Plus they had an industriam tank loco in their yard for years too. Stu
  4. In the back of my mind I can remember this question being answered on another forum. It was indeed AHM (and not Mehanotehnika as my memory told me incorrrectly) - intended for HO and HOn30 use, not HO and N. If you want to know what HOn30 is see http://www.hon30.org/ - basically HO scale but 9mm gauge track scaling out at around 2ft 6in gauge but frequently used to represent others such as 2 foot gauge. Stu
  5. Excellent - I can almost hear the block bells ringing and the crash of levers being pulled - unless you've actually done that! Stu
  6. I believe that Mehanotehnika made such items so these may well have been made by them. I think they were Yugoslavian - may still be going I believe. Stu
  7. I'm afraid that the new WHR doesn't do a lot for me either. I realise that recreating the old WHR might not have been possible, but Garretts just don't seem right on the line. The trains are too long and too busy - I prefer the Welshpool and Talyllyn, but each to his own. (better a railway existing than not though!) Stu
  8. I'd love to know what that location was - I'm always interested in waterside locations that have railways. I can't see too many clues in these though. It looks a bit like East Anglia, but I'm fairly familiar with most railway locations in the area, and I can't say I've seen it before. Stu
  9. I think that the RNLI did/do models of lifeboats, but I don't thnik they are kits. Stu
