    I don't normally take an interest in the stereotypical GW branchline theme but this is different its not in your face GW but it all blends in and looks very realistic I shall be watching this topic with great interest and of course please keep the pictures coming.

    has finally given up on DCC and is currently converting all my loco's back to DC operation

      Assume you've tried different makes of chips. I only get decent results with CT Elektronik.

      I've had a Zimo sound chip (class 56) just go pop !! and now a Zimo sound chip (class 47) just doesn't want to do anything but get extremely hot !!

    keeps getting static electric shocks and is getting scared evrytime I switch anything on that requires electricity!!

      Static shocks are never free; there`s always a charge! :-)

      Have you tried plugging into the National Grid? I believe you can benefit from the feed-in tariff....

      give the blogs a try, they can be easier to follow than the forum posts, which can get too cluttered for my liking with discussion, so hard to follow the actual progress as such. Not to say the discussion is bad though, far from it.

    Hi Ian The pictures certainly give it a scottish theme and the weathering about right nothing over the top just subtle this is most certainly on the watch list I'm liking this a lot as I'm another scottish layout co-owner with Lochnagar. Keep up the great work and of course keep the pictures coming we all like pictures !! And as for a sound decoder may I recomend Legomanbiffo for the class 26 and 37's they are awesome if you do a search on youtube for legomanbiffo you'll be suprised I think ? Colin
