  1. Layout up in garden this evening - fastest ever, 1hr 15 mins from starting to first train running and all spot on..... Looking good for Great Electric Train Show - and North British Warships 843/4/5 out on test tomorrow, may even have to do a video..... Phil
  2. Set the layout up today and initial impressions are that running will be absolutely fine - more to come tomorrow.... Phil
  3. Don't lose sight of the fact that 42 is from a body moulding first available in the late 1970s! Mechanism was suspect until Bachmann put it on to a new chassis The 43 is superior in many - but not all - ways Phil

  17. Lovely shot of Treforest Presumably the two large buildings were a college at that time - now The University of South Wales Our student let property is just the other side of them in Bertha Street Theres an embankment along the lane at the top of the street - was that another line? Phil

  20. D6928 and D6953 - both new to WR - its the cow horn lamp irons and red route availability disc that's the give away - both to ER in 67, back to WR in 74 Cheers Phil
