  1. Looks like the RH strut has become disconnected Phil
  2. Just find a photo - all different patterns! https://www.flickr.com/photos/camperdown/8535250904/in/photolist-e1eoJm-dzdf1e-ancnhd-ancncG-an9xSi-an9xUe-an9xFH-7kziHe-aNt7EB-7kDb8E-9zXBtR-dMC5Xb-dMC5Ko-6VxiPc-3Evie2-dTWSXN-bx9Gga-6qQosB-3Eykxb-dumLGB-bV47bD-aNt7Vr-ppfm7Y-fQgDem-tvjsfV-dbjee-bwByrt-aGJQxc-s88qGJ-fiJSk-9JEcEV-3Euk9T-ngYQsP-sttuGj-9yHWaz-aFRgEx-dNLGAP-wJXUsy-6qP3HV-adGKE9-tqdakG-3Eu5ox-3Eyvuo-3Ey53N-t8TGa7-rbt45B-sWB3As-a9UQGH-b8KZ14-3EyxrA https://www.flickr.com/photos/curly42/5621163819/in/photolist-9yHWaz-aFRgEx-dNLGAP-wJXUsy-6qP3HV-adGKE9-tqdakG-3Eu5ox-3Eyvuo-3Ey53N-t8TGa7-rbt45B-sWB3As-a9UQGH-b8KZ14-3EyxrA-3EytxU-3Eu3wv-3Eu1vn-3EupzZ-3EurKT-3EtXtV-3Eyhk9-3EtRLT-fQgvpA-9KCaY1-oZv3pZ-oZv3Z6-oZtd1o-oXtdx1-8YyDBv-oZeBBZ-oH1LRQ-96fLCp-jXz1TZ-oZtaSA-oH1ReX-oH1RMF-oZezst-oH1Rvt-oH1NSy-oH1cQa-ppYid2-3EybJb-3EzX8U-3EvyRa-3EzTEd-3EtNyn-3EvCoi-ke1Fw9 https://www.flickr.com/photos/21403537@N00/3563912298/in/photolist-6qVYXL-3Ey3bj-kdZ7Pr-tqqpbn-6WGVfP-9oAq7q-stE7qn-b82GR2-xbAef-5Wdm5D-nVEFz6-7kDbcJ-t8Tv7q-t8UMJo-6yKPQV-fLk7at-9NEtYQ-9NGKrb-pCbGDi-dR6pUp-ojhfxk-4HMRP8-dffgPK-dfffXc-4QJmuS-fD4VU3-fD4Qxq-mGwXQv-qZ4NNC-6u1VpE-9ZddYu-dfWHL1-dffg71-7CjK9p-7kzgEp-dzdenX-7kD9ad-qLTDqd-a4BzVU-n1cj1n-usoL4u-v4Jza6-9kY5wg-bhoYxx-sJpcj3-oH79XG-nsW6au-jXwAgK-53tqU2-7yYy8K https://www.flickr.com/photos/robertcwp/4790763431/in/photolist-8ikV4v-uV4xt7-oNem6c-9eHYns-bcmDre-w8oB9V-djGZ9D-srA9C7-eKpmer-ezC9cs-qhGs4c-hYkFSi-fD4Qz9-pibCfS-oNZSNC-oGnQQr-xbAb3-4tkrJQ-9PRmwz-4iUztF-rXXA9-4SfXxe-qhGv6e-pgbyPj-fD4QAo-aazA1m-fQgu9W-9PVJP4-77Hav-fQguM7-4kvhoG-dF4sAg-53tra4-c1gj6J-7kziB8-nuYY9t-4BtmrM-9eETxR-pDsnfJ-7kziwR-n1cvtT-9eESPc-96HSEw-a6pJmQ-dTDXbv-id3BD7-9KUZF3-4Btm82-9iqUTR-jH3nzz https://www.flickr.com/photos/robertcwp/2189797116/in/photolist-4kvhoG-dF4sAg-53tra4-c1gj6J-7kziB8-nuYY9t-4BtmrM-9eETxR-pDsnfJ-7kziwR-n1cvtT-9eESPc-96HSEw-a6pJmQ-dTDXbv-id3BD7-9KUZF3-4Btm82-9iqUTR-jH3nzz-4F6Xxb-fFAdJD-i9WyW2-fQgwYU-4ktkXQ-4r2ZSv-9QHm4s-nGnxvj-dJaGYX-jPsCCg-eNR1sW-6PqNHS-nWG2e2-4F6XYQ-bRnmtD-4iZajK-o7atQA-5ZPD3A-9tgrJs-4iHd3s-4yntoV-4tW6y2-4hoEgC-d57Uqu-9Un7WL-a6p7rh-4EY5e6-5NsQQi-rXXAb-4j1NiQ Phil
  3. The 43s paradoxically didn't get as bad as the 42s and these tow have been withdrawn for a while.... None the less all of that is achievable with spray and washes - first step is removal of glazing and cab interiors then numbers and numbers etc from the loco if you are changing the ID - haven't got my hands on one of these yet so still waiting to see how hard Bachmann might have made that this time Will also be fitting sound once we have one Phil
  4. Ah - if we are invited we will be back next year all things being equal... Have you done any weathering? P
  5. Any chance Cider Queen made it to Abbotswood I wonder? Phil
  6. I am not currently aware of any accurate recording on the market - and IMHO a Western would be better than a Class 42 Warship from the engine/transmission point of view although horns from 42 are probably better - but watch this space.... A tip top weathering job? Personal preference - best to do it yourself, you can do it! Have you seen a photo you would like to replicate? Phil Phil
  7. Interesting though Phil If I am reading the photos correctly then GBL have done that as a sealed beam nose end? The existing Bacchy D55 is a pretty good match for us - centre split box headcodes , we can correct bodyside grilles and boiler filler footsteps so I suspect we will just wait for one to come along... Many thanks Phil
  8. Thanks Nidge didn't have time to get the book out... That must place Robert's slide mount date as having been exposed somewhat earlier Phil
  9. Ah - Thanks Robert - was Thruster out of traffic at this time too then? P
  10. Ah not sure I have seen her like that Clive - is there a photo? She had a shunt in the early 70s so avoided me for a good while - was the last Peak I needed - its BFYE for us But will have to wait in the queue behind any new Warships.... Phil
  11. OK Clive will pass on your share to Andi Was a really thick gloop job - the bodyside grilles were full of it Chassis sat there waiting for a body shell to become available - afraid we still haven't got enough peaks to run the timetable... D125 is next on the hit list I think... Phil
  12. Super shot Robert With also withdrawn D863 behind? Phil
  13. All 3 of you win! 1/3 each.... Its a Bacchy peak.... Someone had done a dreadful primer job on it and it wasn't going to strip with anything else less aggressive P
  14. Very very nice!!!! Marooned without any here till Monday.... Phil
  15. Not a link to the Buffers ad! Thought we might try a proprietary stripper on a loco body that was otherwise scrap Hmmm - probably not a good idea.....!!!! Hee hee its definitely scrap now.... Phil
  16. Far more so than any aussies Mike! Hee hee Phil
  17. Like the way the Allegro is hiding in the bushes ..... best place for it !!! Hee hee Cracking shots again Neil.... Phil
  18. Reckon so - had a call from Rails today re my order Phil
  19. Was at a high powered professional meeting yesterday re 3 new regional networks defined by those in high places - Downendian will know what its about!!!! Two regions - Kent, Sussex and Surrey, together with Yorkshire and Humberside, had well defined geographically based descriptions of their locations The third was described as "The area surrounding the cities of Bristol and Bath". Its almost like those in Ivory towers have no idea of what is past Swindon on the M4! Here be Dragons.... Kingdom of Mercia or Wessex anyone? Phil
  20. That sounds good Neil! Theres so much to do in life isn't there? Phil
  21. 'CIVITAS IN BELLO ET PACE FIDELIS' What were you up to on my home turf Mike? It still counts as the Midlands you know...the South doesn't start till Tewkesbury.... Phil P
  22. SVR diesel gala...http://www.svr.co.uk/SEItem.aspx?a=621st/2nd/3rd October Unfortunately doesn't quite feature all Nidge's locos... Cheers Phil
  23. See you there Nidge - am sure Downendian and Stationmaster will be along too..... Phil
