  1. Bill Re the distants - the starter with the fixed distant will have a speed restriction on that route - I suspect probably a cross over on to the line that the 47 is departing on - which has a straight run, hence the distant pulled off. And yup that's a BFK all right - another one for Mr Bachmann please! Phil
  2. Hartlebury and Blockley? You are spoiling us Dave! Blockley hadn't been long singled of course - but the wrong is now righted, other line now reinstated Phil
  3. Have a test oval for my 4mm locos - excellent for a quick run on the kitchen or bedroom floor, some views in my videos below, follow youtube link SWMBO also has an extensive collection for her N gauge layout - love the built in point motors, only down side is limited points available Highly recommended Phil
  4. Yup we've used them too... Usually have to chop them off at the waist to get them to fit in a diesel cab though Phil
  5. Hee hee That's the second man....or has he just nipped over from the other side of the cab? Phil
  6. Did anyone clock the loco on this working on Sunday please? http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/H66272/2016/01/10/advanced Was on the bridge in Churchdown, heard her leave Gloucester, just awesome! Cheers Phil
  7. Superb Neil! Mighty Oaks from Little Acorns grow Or as Ray Thomas had it... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/From_Mighty_Oaks In the days when you bought an album for the cover artwork as much as the music! Phil
  8. Can only echo what other posters have said Dave Your mum is far more important than these images - wonderful though they are! Cramlington is said to be an excellent unit - am sure she will get the best possible care - don't forget to look after yourself too though! Phil

  12. Hadnt seen it in Tesco's. Got my bottle in a whisky shop in Edinburgh - hunted around the shop for it but nowhere to be seen ... on asking the staff they had stocks hidden behind the till.... Phil
  13. Seems an appropriate time to start this thread - we have a beer thread, so why not whisky! Since encountering this one http://www.auchentoshan.com/ In Glasgow in the summer I haven't felt tempted to open anything else! Phil
  14. Hi Paul Now you have gone public with your fantastic news I can wish you and yours a very Happy Christmas on here - and a very special new year! Am sure you will continue o find some modelling time but it might be slightly curtailed I guess.... Thanks for sharing your super work with us all in 2015! Phil
  15. Is that a given? Had seen some comments about reverse engineering the Turbot but nothing definite had crossed my radar... Cheers Phil
  16. So that it the two people removed theory reinforced once more - welcome to the club Brian. Was just about to send you a PM queying if it was Alistair... Alistair Munro - Old Elizabethan (Worcester Grammar Old Boy), Chemical Pathologist (ret), WCFC fan and railway enthusiast - I connect to him on 4 counts! Did not imagine I would see him again after I moved away from Worcester in 1981 but on turning out for a Milton Keynes Pathology vs Northampton Pathology cricket match in the 1980s there he was on the pitch - despite his personal indicatiopns to the contrary (on calipers IIRC) surprisingly agile too.... Many thanks for highlighting happy days Brian The world gets smaller as we get older.... kind regards Phil
  17. Ah... Who would that be I wonder brian? do we have the two people removed phenomenon again? Already established with Downendian via our professional links... cheers Phil
