Certainly is but saving grace here is that swmbo is just as bad with deliveries of quilting fabric. I reckon it's better to have on big parcel too that a continuous dribble of smaller ones...!

Sorry to throw a spanner in the works chaps!
The centre headcode batch 6960 - 6968 were 30A locos certainly in the late 60s and there were other centre boxers in the low end of the D68xx series - including D6830 the subject of the Hornby model from the 60s.

The D6960 - D6968 batch can be identified by this time as they all appear to have an additional lamp bracket positioned centrally above the headcode box and IIRC were the first in the class to be air braked.

Assuming weather holds layout will be up in garden this weekend
Always good fun - can feel another video coming on
Plenty of new power and trains to appear - I feel a rat fest coming on!

Single engine Brush Type 4 offered performance that wasn't that far removed - although that was theoretical once Sulzer engines had to be de-rated.
High speed Maybachs not liked by engineering fraternity away from WR either

Often saw her at Bristol in her heyday.
But at Hereford - wow! She also towed a 25 to Derby for repair one day.
Greyhound - yes - but one heck of a tractive effort too, restarted some trains of ludicrous weights when on test on the Lickey.

D6327 on a DMU drag from Oxford IIRC
Hang the quality Kevin! If you have that shot it has to be published .... pretty please!
D6336 also made it to Worcester from Oxford following 2 other loco failures on a Padd - Worcester working
Phil
I reckon 14 is D9506
That makes the date 1968 - probably between March and June, presence of tail lamp on D6316 may indicate this is arrival date at beginning of that period perhaps?
Cheers

This one popped up on facebook today!

If you recognise the location you will understand why I got excited!

Teme Valley is beautiful Martin! The view up the valley as you take the Abberley to Tenbury road and drop down in the valley has little to challenge it IMHO
Kind regards
