  1. Hi Marcus That's very kind thanks v much An 85A man? Do you get to the reunions? Mostly the steam age boys but a great crowd - see http://www.miac.org.uk/reunion2013.html. What part of the world are you now? Phase 2 will encompass Norton Junction - the northern boundary will be the M5 overbridge so significant compression - but the general topography will be right. Need to get a track plan on here when I master the software. Operational variety and flexibility will expand rapidly too Cheers Phil
  2. Interesting discussions - thanks folks! There was such a variety of NPCCS formed trains running under different head codes - class 1, 3 and 4 By my era - 1971 - I reckon fruit Ds would have only appeared in the class 4s although on Abbotswood speeding is far more likely to cause the Stove R to derail before a fruit D...... Phil
  3. Thanks Ndge - suspected a Fruit D, a 4 wheeled van in a WCML parcels must have resulted in restricted speed for that train? Cheers Phil
  4. Nice! What are vehicles 5 & 6 I wonder Nabbed a couple of Hornby SPVs from CMC yesterday will add to variety on Abbotswood! Phil
  5. Yes indeed! Have you a track plan Colin? Phil
  6. Congrats on this venture Andy Deserves every success Phil
  7. I have lots more to post in this thread but have actually been doing some more modelling lately so no time for more scanning just yet Look forwards to seeing more from other posters too! Cheers Phil

  9. Best look in the catalogue.....! P
  10. True! Just go to or any wizzo vid come to that! Hadnt realised 1015 was still in Golden Ochre when involved in Churchill's funeral train! Given that P Way were unable to lay in the required extra crossover at Handborough for the move to the up platform 34051 had to take the empty stock on to Worcester once the dignitaries and the great man had disembarked - so 1015 had to work the stock back from Worcester. Sounds like I'd better get my order in! Phil
  11. Another vote for FFA/FGA freightliner flats and Class 120 DMU in 4mm please Dave Think of all the follow-on container sales.... Phil

    Dapol Class 22

On D6336 Headcode boxes are set lower down, handrails are above headcode boxes, lamp irons are set further out, nose end doors are original 2 leaf not 4 leaf Its the position of the head code boxes that's the no no really - and that determines the position of the hand rails, which changes the lamp irons. Hope that helps Phil

    Dapol Class 22

And we need the later version of the model for that one....please! Phil
  14. Hi Steve Yup Im a Baggies fan! So I'll not voice my opinions on the first 3 but just let the MOTD pundits , press and blogging public speak. But FA Nincompoops? Its taken them since 1966 to sort out goal line technology (But a good job it wasn't in place then I think!) I watched the Wales v SA rugby Sat evening - SWMBO not happy but that's another matter! - where cheating and foul play were identified by the ref assisted by the 4th official and managed appropriately. How long before football has the courage to address the issue? Phil
  15. Chelsea - cheats West Brom - robbed Andre Mariner - duped FA - Nincompoops Discuss! Phil

    Dapol Class 22

We have 2 Only issue was a single axle failure which I soon rectified with a replacement from DCC Supplies Otherwise excellent model Hope we still get the head code box fitted as built version! Phil
  17. Absolutely! If you have ever been involved in interviews with the media which then get published as an article the end result often bears little resemblance to the original. Phil
  18. Hi Kevin Layout is 12 x 9 - six 4 x 4 boards (Less centre operating well) plus 2 additional 6 x 1 scenic boards on the front. Need to draw a decent track plan - will post once done Phil
  19. Battery boxes are a start! Other features such as the triangular grill on the side and nose ends - including head code boxes - varied within the classes Except that - Anything with split headcode boxes is a 45 Anything with an ETH jumper is a 45/1 http://derbysulzers.com/ is an excellent source - don't be put off by the BoBo front page, theres loads on peaks too Cheers Phil
