  1. Flippin eck! I forgot how far over the WRD/sidings went (You forget now as they are just rows of silver birch trees!) Takes me back!
  2. I agree. Hard to think that there are no 58's or 56's running in this country now. A sad state of affairs! Alex - I think Boxenby could do with some filthy banger blue 31's!! I'' lend you a few!
  3. Alex - it might be worth checking to see if anyone does a 4mm downlighter that throws out a sodium orange light spectrum as this would be more representative than the blue light spectrum offered by modern lighting kits. However, I doubt that anyone actually does one and that the blueish LED's emit more light anyway! Err...! Trev
  4. Hi Ian, This is a really interesting project, and I feel that this end of Toton is always neglected. There was an awful lot going on at this end, including the WRD, and I am sure there was a small set of fuel loding/discharge siding running into what is now ASDA's car park. (which IIRC were to the right and below the front of the peak in your picture.) I haven't seen may pictures of trains actually crossing the bridge, and I have walked over it many times in the past (you can't now as they have put pallisade fencing up). This bridge would make a really good addition to Grimleys' Boxenby monster! If anyone has any further pics they can add of this area it would be really informative. Keep supplying us with updates! Regards Trev
  5. 11 was working to & from Kingsbury on a rake of blue TEA's today. Blue loco (no rancid EWS abhorrations on the side) with blue tanks! Winner! Anyone phot it?
  6. Cracking shots Brian. Good to see 045 back out to play, and on a modal! Double winner!
  7. Hi matey Flip the shed over and is there a switch for changing the lighting position on the u/s of the fuel tank? Im not sure as I only own one of the 'orrible things (being an EE man myslef) and that thing belongs to my 11 year old!
  8. Hi Leon, Apologies,I didn't explain myself very well - as D. Winpenney says it a refernce to the day and night running lights on a 'shed' class 66 (JT42CWSS!!) and swapping the lights over to simulate day and night running. (as per the big railway)!!!! Looking directly at the loco, the lights should be LH for daytime and RH for night time! Hope this helps mate!! Cheers Treeb
  9. Hi Leon, the layout is looking good - in particular the coal sector Syphons!! Just one thing - swap the headlights on the shed over to the night setting for when it gets dark!!!! (You could get form one'd for that!) Nice one! Trev
  10. That would be better I think Mick - the TATA silver looks a bit naff......
