  1. A Bachmann 00 large logo 47, renumbered as 47426 'Dibatag', bufferbeam details added, and weathered to mid 90s tatty finish.
  2. Order placed, an acknowledgment and request for payment would be good.
  3. Hi Steve. That all sounds very interesting. Have you tried any speaker options in 0 gauge?
  4. 0 gauge class 31 detailing etch request. Afternoon guys. I don't suppose anyone has this Peter Harvey nose end doors and roof/bodyside plating etch surplus to requirements?
  5. No, I simply continue to enjoy it on a personal basis. Pig in s#it pretty much sums it up
  6. Not at all. Turned my hobby into a business 8 years ago and loving it now more than back then
  7. Yep, it's a tricky balance getting everything right....I'm now 8 years in and every day is still a school day for me. We have discussed this before....quality is paramount and all else is worked around that. You can have your cake and eat it with this business, but you have to be honest with yourself and know your strengths and weaknesses. Best of luck.

Pete are you still trading.....can't seem to find your website. Regards, Lee
  9. Here we have one of the rather tasty wee Cromptons. Heljan 0 gauge. Renumbered/named as 33025 'Sultan'. Roof resprayed grey, tricky roof cant rail grilles picked out in black, orange cantrail stripe added, missing leccy flashes added, weathered and DCC fitted. Lovely.
  10. Further progress on the repainted Sutton 24. That lining was damn tricky to mask and colour mix! Getting there. Original donor model on the left.
  11. Pretty much my least favourite job....filling and sanding. In this case, 0 gauge class 37 bodyside and cantrail footsteps. 3d rivets added to complete the job prior to re-priming and top coat painting. Come on Ben Jones, time for an updated model to save this nightmare
  12. In which case, it's very odd that the illustration has Romanian style grilles and round buffers, neither of which 047 carried.
  13. Have sent you a pm regarding your items for sale.
  14. Good afternoon folks. It's that time of year again, when it's time to wind down a bit, crack a bottle (or several) open, eat, be merry and happy. Sort of. I think we can all agree that this has been one hell of a year. We have seen some large scary changes to life during the last 12 months, and we don't seem to have an end to it for a while yet. On the plus side, our wonderful hobby seems to have gone from strength to strength during this period, I have had yet another record breaking year. I am sitting on a full order book, and a huge pile of pre orders for next years new releases. Damn, I'm grateful and thankful to be in such a position. And it's all down to you lot. Without you, my humble business wouldn't have grown and continued to thrive. A heartfelt thanks from the Edmondson clan, including little sausage Buttons! I wish you all the very best for Christmas and New year, stay safe, and look after yourselves and family. Enjoy your break, back to business January the 2nd :-) Regards, Lee.
  15. It's nothing to do with the DCC settings, or chip manufacture. I noticed this issue with every 56 I have owned. After a complete strip down, I found a tight spot whilst rotating the gear towers. It can't be corrected, and is either down to a slightly off centre gear, or fractionally incorrectly located gear locating pin. I'm presuming this fault has been present since the initial introduction of the locos many years ago, and may even have got worse as the factory toolings get older. Such a shame on an otherwise solid, over engineered drivetrain. But not at all surprising either with Hornby's lack of interest in the diesel market and ever poorer qc standards.
  16. Fantastic. As always with any trade, a master at work makes it look so easy.
  17. For a change, something in OO Bachmann class 40. Renumbered as 40106. Nose ends repainted, Shawplan headcode discs added, as well as new handrails. Weathered. The characteristic top nose end black bonnets have also been added.
  18. An aftermarket 'fix' which needs purchasing and soldering in by the end user on a brand new state of the art model. Even without wading through 171 pages, that sort of tells me these aren't the premium product originally envisioned.
  19. Heljan 0 gauge centre headcode class 37, renumbered as pre tops 6824, weathered to a suitable scruffy state.
