  1. I think I have some, without leds attached. I also have some aftermarket replacement lighting kits. Drop me a pm if of interest.
  2. Hi, sorry to hear about this. Just to point out, as the thread title and general description is a tad misleading, and can read that these locos were not returned by myself. That is absolutely not the case, and I would appreciate clarification saying so. Regards, Lee
  3. Not pessimistic, realistic. Accurascale quoted a year for the Deltic to arrive from when it goes into production.
  4. Resistors are not required on any of the Heljan diesels when DCC chip fitting, with the exception of the early filament bulb fitted locos, first issue class 37, and 47. Everything else have resistors built into the led board.
  5. Love these things. 2 getting converted to air braked versions out of this current batch.
  6. Should this not be in the manufacturers/products section?
  7. Well, they looks stunning to me. The model captures the sheer weight, bulk and presence of the real thing. Customer pre orders of 50+ so far also make it the most popular 0 gauge diesel release to date. For me anyways. I am also lucky in having seen them in the flesh. Too many folk seem to form instant impressions from pre production images.
  8. Why? What an odd statement.
  9. This general comment nowadays always makes me giggle. I'm sure there's something wrong with my backend too, but damn, I just can't put my finger on it.
  10. I guess it's about time to get the work done on these before one of the new kids on the block announces a new model! A pair of Hornby 31s. I see this as a very good model, but inherently flawed. A very poor electrical pickup design, constant snapped bodyhole screw locating channels, and a lighting/electrical system that I can only presume was designed by the Italians. These have been modded and repainted by Andrew Donnelly, my job is to fix all of the issues, and weather them.
  11. Interesting thread. Many of you will know I started my repainting/weathering business about 7 years ago, and has been documented via this forum ever since. I started off working in all of the major scales, along with a wee bit of layout building. I had to drop 2mm as it just wasn't for me, and the last couple of years, as well as a personal modelling choice, have seen me move pretty much exclusively to 7mm. I agree with all of the discussion about less personal time, a perceived reluctance to work on increasingly expensive models, and all of the other reasons. What I do know is that regardless of market shifts, price rises, covid, the weather, every year sees a huge increase in business. As an example, the latest Heljan class 31 release has seen no fewer than 20 examples arrive, all requiring numbers, sound fitting, and weathering. I don't know what the answer is, but my shelves are straining, and 'full works' jobs which involve modifications and repaints have a turnaround time of 1.5-2 years due to the sheer volume of work.
  12. Ped invasion time!! These have proved immensely popular, the to do pile is straining with no fewer than 20 examples in many assorted liveries
  13. Morning. Today's finished loco...Ethel! Repainted from a Heljan 0 gauge class 25, No 2 end brackets removed, additional bufferbeam ETH equipment added. Shortly to be joined by 37011 and 37027 in large logo.
  14. Something quite unusual today, tatty NSE. Class 50 032, Courageous, weathered to final days in the DCE pool. Heljan 0 gauge, weathering by me, sound by Legoman
  15. Yes they are. So does pretty much every other retail business, it's called placing a back order. Find the parts you require on the website, order them, and they will magically arrive when in stock.
  16. Morning guys. Today we have one of Heljans wonderful big Peaks. Weathered, numbered as 014, and Domino blinds fitted. Sound already fitted by customer.
  17. **Wanted** O gauge diesel loco buffers. Afternoon guys. I am after some of the attached, ex NMRS range. Oleo oval buffers. Anyone got any surplus they wish to part with?
