Looking really smart. A minor query from me regarding the high intensity headlight on the large logo ones - is that the final version or also under review?
I’ve not tried to but as I understand it you can fit ploughs into the NEM socket as per the previous generation but you can’t fit any of the detailing because they protrude quite far out. Others will correct me if I’m wrong. If I need to I will fit the excellent PH Designs etched ones but I’m holding out to assess the Accurascale ones to decide which model is best for plough fitting. The Bachmann model is the best 37 available to date (deliberately worded as I’ve not seen a finished Accurascale one yet) but I’d only commit to using it for none snowplough fitted locos at present.
Looks great, all the new models look great, but I still feel it’s a crying shame they didn’t facilitate the ploughs, especially as every model bar 430 they’ve released so far had them in the era modelled.
There’s bodyside windows and steps to fill too. There’s probably other things I’ve not noticed as well 😃 no idea how it will work with the vinyls whether they can be done as transfers. Time will tell.
Changing the subject slightly I’ve stripped a 37430 for painting. Came apart nice and easy and no window breakages either - bonus! Thought it might be helpful for anyone considering it.
I’m sure they have, by amendment I was meaning more the adding of the window on the bodyside that was filled in on the DRS ones “37/7 style” and the removal of the LEDs, sockets and reinforced windows.
Interesting. Have you done the front windscreen and nose modifications? Of course this is one that is not possible to do from the accurascale loco as it still has the bodyside windows.
