Cheers for kind words. All is okay(ish), just a bit gutting to have to give up something you've wanted to do for a long time. Nothing sinister behind it fortunately and left on good terms, it all boiled down to money which was just too good where I currently work, something which is sorely needed when trying to get on the property ladder! When you can, go for it. You'll thoroughly enjoy it!

Having had the better of 30 years on call all I can say is that it had its good times and its bad times (and its occasionally hilarious times).

To add to all this, my Chrysler has a Mercedes engine. It's never easy!

And some new Toyotas have BMW made engines too! But I'm happy with my VAG engine in our VW!

Suppose technically the engine in my current car is very well 'shared', American GM engine put in a Holden (Australian) car, then shipped to the UK and rebadged as a Vauxhall.

Make the most of it, it wont last! You will be knocking off years in the not to distant future! lol

People should remember to give way to traffic ALREADY ON a mini roundabout I never did Mini roundabouts when I took my driving test and until son and heir learned I thought they were give way to traffic on your right like their full size cousins

Engine dead......? Citroens were notorious for low air intakes.

An old Citroen with oleopneumatic suspension - height-adjustable. Raise the setting to "maximum" and on you go.

I did have a fancy for a 4x4, probably should've gone with that fancy! Word from the garage is that it's bent at least two conrods, with four being bent a slim possibility.

She will be rebuilt!
