  1. IMHO I would be very surprised if the tooling is completely dedicated to MR commissions, but you never know. Excuse my ignorance but are there many liveries this could be produced in ?
  2. That must have been disappointing, poor show on the factories quality control... Mine are both ok and complete..
  3. The missing bits were from the Steam loco, the funny thing is the front end valance and pipes were already fitted on my Maroon, humming for a second Maroon one, but not sure which to go for Western Consort or Western Firebrand from the new releases. But I would really like the new Maroon Warship to go with it...perhaps a xmas pressie from the wife, NO chance of that... I really worried about fitting the roof lifting eyes but I only failed with one and that turned up, just have to be really careful not to take the paint off them... I have to say I think the loco's do look beautiful......
  4. My payment for £204 went out immediately when they were ordered a few weeks ago I can recall it being right. I have just checked my account and it's not been duplicated. I presume because you are collecting you had no despatch email.
  5. And here they are, unfortunately have some bits missing from the packs so have got some replacements being sent by DCC supplies..
  6. These are now in stock as I have received notification that mine have been shipped....
  7. Have just pinged one of my lifting eyes into space, damn, number 30 of 32... Did anybody buy a sheet of spares from DCC supplies, unfortunately they are currently out of stock ? Please pm if you do... Thanks in advance Unbelievable, just found that lost lifting eye in the poly tray a week later !!!
  8. The worry is that they will be the demise of the 20's and 37's on Flask trains......
  9. Thanks Phil & Rick for your help, I did look back through a few pages, I did remember reading something, but it's a long topic this one now (probably too many duplicate questions !!), I took the easiest option, apologies....
  10. Having run my Maroon Western in during the last couple of weeks, without fault, thought, time to detail. So this weekend I spent a couple of hours detailing it. Managed to get the nameplates on faultlessly and piped up the front and all the little black fittings correctly located underneath. Ran it for the first time tonight, what a disaster, derails almost on every curved point, found restricted movement on the bogies due to the glued on bits, not miss positioned as the body is pocketed for easy and supposedly correct location. Gradually removed the items one by one, and its almost back to where I was before fitment. Just down to the cab steps now. Anybody else found this ? I'm really disappointed as I thought it looked the bees knees.... Are these fittings purely for static models ??
  11. I was the same Mike, only wanted the DRS pair, in the email from Jamie Walsh yesterday you can read her own personal disappointment the way this project has crashed. I'm not keen on Vi-Trains products so I'm hoping it doesn't go that way, but good luck to them if they take it on, I'm sure we will soon find out.
  12. If it's as good as the spine wagon then it will be a great addition...
  13. There is no launch date mentioned in Model Rail for the Class 68, the wagon is the DRS Bogie 'Low-Liner' Wagon, very similar to as spine wagon. And confirmed as 'goers' in OO and N !!! You can be sure there will be plenty of running numbers available with it being Dapol if history is to go by (but no more than fifteen).. There is a statement saying the Class 88 is a long way from being confirmed.
  14. Yes, Thanks for the update William, I ordered both... With the exception of two Westerns these are the first loco's I've bought for ages....
  15. Some nice photo's, the 66's look very good in the DRS Blue. 66411 and 66412 have always been part of the DRS fleet, you are correct in saying they have been debranded, they were the Stobart and Malcolm liveried specials.. Ironically they are both part of the Freightliner fleet now. And 66434 has been rebranded into the latest Malcolm livery:- The forever changing face of our network...
  16. Thanks Phil, I actually visited the shop at lunchtime to discuss the issue, apparently it shouldn't effect the maroon one's. The guy said I would need to replace the brass threaded inserts where any screw was overtightened, but sadly they didn't have any. Ironically one came out in trying to get the screw out after drilling the head off, at least I've finally got the body off, sods law one of the screws has gone into the tower area !!
  17. Have not read every entry so apologies if this has already been answered. Does anyone know if any replacement body screws are available yet... I need four for two loco's.. Lovely looking loco's but a nightmare getting the screws out I must say... I guess I'll ring DCC tomorrow...
  18. The PCB is listed:- http://www.howesmodels.co.uk/Railways/viewProducts.php?SubCatID=70
  19. I'm humming about a weathered Maroon one myself to go with the Bachmann maroon weathered coaches, can run with this one as well I presume...
  20. Mine's arrived and it certainly looks the part, well pleased run in tonite.... Nicely packaged:-
  21. Looks a lovely model... Takes me back to my youth watching one most days through Worcester on 1M22: Penzance to Manchester, used to roar out of Tunnel Junction at Worcester. We all used to stop playing footy and run to the fence.. I've just ordered one and a special edition... Suppose a nice set of coaches next... Is there a full catalogue list anywhere, I have found four standard releases and the weathered versions plus a special edition previously mentioned ??
  22. Yes the wagons have moulded spigots, the containers have cut aways along the undersides to accomodate for the spigots along the body. Hornby no doubt call it clever marketing Containers will need some modding...
  23. Have ordered one of each from a box shifter and they are on their way. Hopefully, but I doubt it, I wonder whether the container spigot positions will mix and match with the Bachmann & Dapol Wagons and Containers and also the C Rail Containers.. Will soon see in the next day or so..
